Guest Mark4steamboat Report post Posted May 31, 2002 Its good for Ice CreaM Floats.
Guest Invader3k Report post Posted May 31, 2002 I tried it a couple week back...I didn't think it was that great really. I prefer Pepsi Twist as far as alternative big-two sodas are concerned.
Guest Shaved Bear Report post Posted June 1, 2002 mmm cream soda
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted June 1, 2002 Wasn't good and it gave me indigestion.
Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted June 2, 2002 I haven't had it, but I doubt it is better than Pepsi Twist. So far I haven't heard of anyone who actually liked it.
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted June 2, 2002 I've had it, and it's all right, but not something I'd drink on a regular basis. The problem I had with it was it tasted just like regular Coke, then had an over-saturated forced vanilla aftertaste. It didn't really seem like a blend at all... for a more "natural" taste and better blend, I suggest Jones' (anyone here drink Jones Soda?) Vanilla Cola, although strangely, my local 7-11 has stopped stocking it ever since Vanilla Coke's arrival, because a lot of people around here (gasp!) enjoy Vanilla Coke, and now that 7-11 has stopped stocking the Jones Vanilla Cola they can't compare both like I have. Although, on the plus side, in its place they have stocked Jones' M.F. Grape flavor.
Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted June 2, 2002 There's a new new coke? Can't wait till like 2006 when it gets to the UK.
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted June 2, 2002 OK, I tried it just now. The very first sip I took was pretty good because the vanilla flavor was pretty strong, and it was pleasant. But once my palate got used to it (about 2 or 3 sips later), it just tasted like regular Coke. I had to try really hard to taste the vanilla part. And since I tend to think that Coke is pretty nasty anyway, I don't think I'll be having this drink any more. Yuck!
Guest Report post Posted June 3, 2002 I just tried it today, and I didn't like it at all. Probably the worst part was the horrid aftertaste in my mouth. I'll be sticking to regular or Cherry Coke.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted June 3, 2002 Hmm. My opinion? It tastes like a Coke Float (Vanilla Ice Cream and Coke), only without the ice cream. I was surprised that the Vanilla flavor wasn't as artificial tasting as their lemon flavor for the diet coke is.
Guest J*ingus Report post Posted June 3, 2002 I had it a couple of weeks ago. Now, I'm a pretty big Coke mark, and tend to go through entire 2-liters in a day's time. But this stuff was horrible enough that I couldn't finish the can. It tasted bitter, with a sour undertone. Not natural vanilla at all, it clashed instead of blending. Guest Mark4steamboat Report post Posted June 3, 2002 It is not selling at all down here in SC. I dont see it lasting long.
Guest Report post Posted June 5, 2002 Yeah, fo' sho'. I work at a Harris Teeter in Charleston, and NO ONE has bought it that I've seen, nor do we stock much of it. I would know this, being a Grocery Cargo Specialist(read: bagboy) and all. I have yet to taste it. Pepsi Twist I actually prefer to regular Pepsi, even though Coke from a soda fountain rules the roost.
Guest The Man in Blak Report post Posted June 6, 2002 I wasn't exactly thrilled with the bottled Vanilla Coke I grabbed from a local Wal-Mart, but I'll probably still hold out and grab a six-pack when it comes out in cans, just because Coke traditionally tastes better from the can or from the tap (or at least it does for me). Guest imajackoff? Report post Posted June 6, 2002 I like it. Its much better than the "lemon twist" colas they have been putting out recently.
Guest Insanityman Report post Posted June 6, 2002 I didn't mind it. I'm not going to go out and buy it, maybe even now and then. But seriously the vanilla (as many have said) tasted forced in an after-taste than blended nicely. I drink Jones sometimes if it's that or some no name brand, DDT. Actually I like the grape. (For Jones).
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted June 7, 2002 is it available in canada yet? i want to try it.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted June 12, 2002 it is available in canada because i got a bottle last night. it was pretty good. it tasted a little too much coke for my liking though.
Guest Mark4steamboat Report post Posted June 12, 2002 To me, it had a little too much vanilla in it. I prefer diet drinks to anykind of drink so maybe there will be a diet vanilla coke.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted June 13, 2002 really? i thought it tasted pretty weeak.
Guest Mattdotcom Report post Posted June 22, 2002 Pepsi Twist is my favorite cola right now. I can't stand regular Pepsi, but the Twist is there to make it all better. Vanilla Coke tastes like medicine. I couldn't get the taste out of my mouth for days.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted June 25, 2002 I like it. Its pretty good and better then I figured it would be. I love vanilla coke when I get it in restaurants. I figured the bottled/canned would taste too artificial(like that nasty Pepsi twist shit) and I wouldn't like it. I was surprised that it tastes somewhat natural so I like it now. The restaurant version is better but I can drink the bottled version with no problem.
Guest DrEvil Report post Posted June 28, 2002 I like the Vanilla Coke for a change, but I wouldn't make it my everyday drink. Something about it tastes funny, not bad, just different. I just hope they don't ditch it because my wife is already in love with it.
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted June 28, 2002 Hell, I'm in love with it! I think it owns, seriously. Now, as to whether it's better than that regular Coke at the bowling alley... no. That's the best soda on earth.
Guest EricMM Report post Posted July 1, 2002 Hell no, the vanilla taste is fake as shit. It tastes to me like the vanilla taste in Smirnoff Vanilla Vodka, which you wouldn't want to drink strait! I bought 20 oz bottle and couldn't finish it. Was so nast. Its weird because there's no other sodas I dislike except diets -Eric
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted July 2, 2002 i have been slowly starting to buy more and more of it and i am falling in love with it. the store across the street from my apartment is selling bottles for 99 cents and since they are cheaper that is what i have been buying. Guest LesnarLunatic Report post Posted July 5, 2002 It's pretty good. Weird taste to it. I wouldn't buy it regularly.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted July 5, 2002 i swear if you drink enough of it, it will grow on you. drink one a day for a week and it will go down so smooth.
