Guest Black Tiger Report post Posted May 31, 2002 I was just on eBay looking for a best of Hayabusa comp, and all I could find that was up for auction was a tape of the card where Hayabusa went paralyzed. Most of the auction title had in all caps and bold HAYABUSA GETS PARALYZED What kind of insensitive asshole would sell a tape with a promise of "HAYABUSA GETS PARALYZED" even more sick is what kind of insensitive asshole would buy a tape so they could see Hayabusa get paralyzed. This is just as sick as people who can't wait to get their hands on Over the Edge '99 and ECW's house show in Revere, Mass.
Guest Hayabusa Moleman Report post Posted May 31, 2002 I am pretty positive that FMW released this tape themselves anyway. I don't think Hayabusa made any fuss about it either.
Guest Black Tiger Report post Posted May 31, 2002 The event was an FMW PPV, I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure FMW didn't release it commericaly
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted May 31, 2002 people selling it on ebay shouldn't list it under the title HAYABUSA GETS PARALYZED. that is in poor taste and if anyone is buying that tape because of Hayabusa's injury then they are a sick fuck.
Guest art_vandelay Report post Posted May 31, 2002 I'm not supporting them or anything, but just to play Devil's Advocate, were any of you not the least bit interested to see how the injury occured when you first found out? I fault the people selling the tapes, but the people buying them just want to feed their human curiosity.
Guest Black Tiger Report post Posted June 1, 2002 When I first heard about Hayabusa's injury I was almost in tears, I knew how the injury happened through the news sites. Maybe its just me but I wouldn't buy anything that was a cause for someone's death, injury, end of career etc. Foley KNEW he was going off the cell in KOR 1998 so I don't see a problem in promoting that for advertising. Hayabusa didn't plan to have his career ended and spend the rest of his life in a wheel chair so I think if someone wants to make money by promoting that then they are sick, if someone knowingly gives them money for it, they are even more sick. Yes, I completely agree that the people making money off of this shit deserve to die, but at the same time I don't think the people paying for it care where the money is going to, and it is not their intent to reward the people who sell this kind of stuff. But it is wrong, I completely agree with that.
Guest PlatypusFool Report post Posted June 1, 2002 "Yes, I completely agree that the people making money off of this shit deserve to die..." "...they are even more sick." People deserve to die? People are 'sick'? No. You are considerably over reacting about this. Yes, the ethics of selling a piece of footage containing a career ending injury, and advertising it on the basis of this is very fucked up, but these people do NOT deserve to 'die' for this. I'll sit and watch an episode of 'jackass' where someone's tailbone gets broken, or someone's leg gets snapped in half, and I will laugh my ass off at these things because they are funny. I even sat and watched a tape of wrestling injuries that my friend received for his birthday and laughed at them. Human beings have a natural curosity towards things like these, and they are entertaining to us. Hayabusa knows that all the footage he films for FMW is fair game for that company to sell, even if he gets injured, in the same way that the folk on 'jackass' know that if they get hurt their viewers will laugh at them. So, I certainly wouldn't pay for this tape, not by any means, but I would be interested to see it. And if I was drunk, entertained by it as well probably. Let the flaming begin... Guest Black Tiger Report post Posted June 1, 2002 I'm not going to Flame you but I do have an arugment for you. People on Jackass know they are being filmed for the show, the realize that people are intended to laugh at what they see. I don't think Hayabusa climbed the ropes thinking, "If I fall and get hurt, it will make so many people laugh" Its not the selling of the event that I have a problem with, its the fact that seller put HAYABUSA GETS PARALYZED in the title to draw buyers. Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted June 1, 2002 Well, is it equally as wrong for the Wwf to shill Foleys hell in a cell match with Taker? Sure, the consequences were much less but the long term damage was done. People, generally, are not sick. But there are those who like to look at a car crash site, and this is for them. Does profit know morals?
Guest HBK16 Report post Posted June 1, 2002 Buying or selling a tape just because there is an injury like that is sick. I never saw Over the Edge 99 and don't intend to. I won't get the FMW tape either. I just don't think it is right. I see people posting it on their site and in bold letters have SEE HAYABUSA GETS PARALYZED! an it is disturbing. The I saw a couple that say they won't sell it and I really appreciate that. Some people still don't sell the Over the Edge tape either.
Guest Report post Posted June 1, 2002 Wait a sec, but I HEARD (it's the internet folks) that MAYBE Hayabusa could walk again... *crosses Fingers*

Most likely, his wrestling career is all but over.
