Mortal Kombat... Shaolin Monks

Ok... so I'm a MK fan and absolutely love this game and the direction they went with it. I've figured out the majority of the game but am stuck with two seperate spots.

 

 

The first spot is unlocking Reptile. My intel says he's in the Living Forest, shortly after the Brotherhood of Shadow. Where the goal is to throw a Clay soldier into a statue. I can't for the life of me get this to work and am wondering if there is any secrets I should know.

 

 

The second spot, is part of the third Smoke mission. My goal is to throw 3 Tarkatas into 3 Death Traps. The problem is I can't seem to find the Death Traps.

 

Help would most greatly be appreciated. BTW the intel was from Gamefaqs.com
