Three huge days celebrating wrestling tradition in our nation's capital, the Capitol Wrestling Legends Fanfest features more than two dozen of wrestling's greatest heroes and villains, 15 of which have just been announced at http://www.CapitolLegends.com.

 

The Capitol Wrestling Legends Fanfest takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 11-13, 2006 at the Doubletree Hotel and Executive Meeting Center in Rockville, Maryland. The Baltimore/Washington, DC area is rich in wrestling history, having been a hotbed for all three major promotions: the NWA, AWA, and WWF (and it's predecessor, the WWWF.)

 

A weekend of fun; a "dream come true" for any old-school wrestling enthusiast, fanfest affords us an opportunity to meet, chat with and get autographs from the legendary performers from our childhood. There will be autograph signings with each of the wrestling legends, chances to get your photo taken with the wrestling greats, memorabilia displays and, basically, "everything under the sun" that a wrestling fan could want.

 

VIP All Access Pass holders will have exclusive access to Friday afternoon's "Early Bird" opening session and early access on both Saturday and Sunday. VIPs also have first access to all autograph signings and photo sessions, and many extras including exclusive admission to five awesome Question-and-Answer sessions!

The Masked Superstar: UNMASKED! (Friday, 7pm) – Bill Eadie has made a name for himself as both a Mongol and Demolition Ax over his thirty year career. Be witness to the first-ever unmasking of the Masked Superstar, his most successful persona, as he takes your questions and talks about classic encounters with Andre the Giant, the Road Warriors, Bob Backlund, Mr. Wrestling II, and more!

 

One-on-One: Jim Cornette & Bobby "The Brain" Heenan (Friday, 9:30 pm) – Two of the most entertaining, knowledgeable, and successful managers of all time will team up in Rockville in what is sure to be a battle of wits. Expect to laugh until you cry as they discuss their lengthy careers in the industry and time spent with such names as Andre the Giant, the Midnight Express, Ric Flair, Jim Ross, Gorilla Monsoon, and more!

 

The Hart Foundation: Bret Hart & Jim Neidhart (Saturday 7pm) – “The Pink and Black Attack” helped elevate tag team wrestling to new heights during the 1980s. You will not want to miss this rare occasion as “The Hitman” and “The Anvil” discuss classic battles against the British Bulldogs, the Killer Bees, and Demolition as well as the revolutionary USA vs. Canada storyline, DX, WCW, and more!

 

“The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes (Saturday 9:30 pm) – Regarded as one of the best talkers and most charismatic wrestlers in history, the three-time NWA World Champion has been both wrestler and booker during a career that has spanned more than four decades. Listen to him discuss the inside story on the Starrcades and Great American Bashes as well as the inner workings of both TNA and WWE!

 

Jerry “The King” Lawler (Sunday 4 pm) – The King of Memphis and longtime voice of Monday Night Raw is without a doubt one of the most decorated and accomplished wrestlers of all time. Listen as he discusses his history with Jackie Fargo, Andy Kaufman, Bill Dundee, Eddie Gilbert, Bret Hart, and more. You do not want to miss out on this very rare appearance!
