Guest Dam(o)nYankees Report post Posted March 12, 2006 Guys, do you really see yourself cheering for HHH to win the title at Wrestlemania by defeating someone who's been labelled the future of the company, been pushed like MAD, will be the face in the match, and allowed to become a consistent main eventer after originally getting over with the crowd (the first to do so in a long, long time thanks to the very man he's facing)? Isn't this the exact opposite of what we've always wanted? Cena has allowed himself to get so bad both in the ring and on the mic, and the fans have shit all over him for it. Hunter has turned into the lesser of two evils. Its time to find a new future of the company. They tried Cena, and he failed. Next. Maybe, but putting the belt back on Triple H shouldn't be the solution. Not even in the short-term. Whatever it takes to get Cena out of the ME scene for the rest of the year. He needs a good 8 months out of the spotlight, drop the Vanilla Ice shit, and work on his in ring. Do an injury angle and have him come back a bitter heel after 3 months in OVW, and let him fight over the IC or tag belt for the rest of the year. I honestly dont buy this "Its the WWE Style!" bullshit. If this was true, Everyone would more or less be on equal level. Cena is arguably the worst weekly male performer on the show, and the fans can see that. Thats why I think John needs to go a way for a while. Maybe he's burnt out, and a three month vacation will do wonders for him. Maybe he'll look at it as a demotion and be motivated to improve in his time off. Regardless, having him cut the same lame promos every week and wrestle the same awful match every week is a disaster. The fans are sick of it and that being shoved down their throat. Guest Dam(o)nYankees Report post Posted March 12, 2006 The guy doesn't really have control over his promos anymore. He hasn't had that once they told him to completely quit the freestyle promos. The promos I do blame the company on, but come on. No one buys him as a legitimate rapper anyway. Its not like the record sold at all. But I will grant that the company writes awful promos. But I really do think his real problem is he's going out there and sucking up the ring week in and week out. Fans are getting smarter, and they can see when someone is half assing or just plain bad. Masked Man of Mystery 0 Report post Posted March 12, 2006 I think the thing that hurt Cena the worst for me was the summer of '04 where he just buried Dupree and Suzuki to the point where I don't know if Dupree can ever come back if he recovers from whatever was wrong with him, it escapes me. And that's a shame, because Rene Dupree has talent, and he's very young, I'd certainly take him healthy over Cena, and yet Cena was beating him and Suzuki, sometimes in handicap matches, with his lame as can be finisher
