I can't stand listening to Bill Walton doing commentary.  He's just so annoying.  Can't quite explain it, but he just gets on my nerves.

Oh you don't have to tell me. I've hated that big red fucker for years now. His annoucing style reminds me of Larry Zybisco's and that's not a good thing. The why he totally bashes a team for like 10 minutes then when they go on any kind of run no matter how small he suddenly praises the team makes me want to kick my tv. Oh then when he says shit like "you can't win if you don't score" "you can't expect to win without rebounding" "you have to stop the other team from scoring" it makes me want to strangle him while screaming no kidding you stupid motherfucker we all know this shit.

But UT USED to be able to cut a promo.  Walton never could.  That's why I turn off the sound and turn on the radio for commentary.

If Bill Walton is able to do commentary, they should have heel commentators. Bring out Bobby Heenan and Jesse Ventura!! How come Snapper Jones and Walton fight so damn much? It becomes a distraction and it is annoying. If I have to hear somebody bash a team and be one-sided, at least let it be Barkley since he's entertaining.

I seriously think that bill walton is gay for kobe bryant.  The way he talks about him.  He is always praising him.  I just think he wants his dick though, that the only explanation on why he is always saying how good he is, he want to be his lover.

Bill Walton is a total Laker mark. I wish he would be more objective during the broadcast instead of gushing over a team that is not hard to get behind because they are likely to win. Not a hard accessment to come by when you look and they have the NBA's 2 biggest marketing icons, Kobe and Shaq.

I like Walton he's willing to give his opinion. He is never critical of Shaq, which is bad. He does call out the bad officiating. Jones on the other hand makes excuses for the refs.

Big Red isn't gay, he's just trying to be a huge suckup so he can be liked by some people, because his son obviously hates him.

 

Then again, I find Walton's commentary pretty funny. When you think about it, how did a former Pro NBA Center get so stupid in the same game? It just doesn't make sense and for that, it's funny.

One thing that annoys me about Walton is when criticizes someone and there's no basis for it. One game Charles Oakley (I think) hit like 5 shots in a row from the same spot. Well, he misses the 6th and Walton was all over him (you can't take shots like that, they're going to lose, what's he thinking, etc.) I was glad Snapper was there and talked some sense (or at least tried to) into him (Uh...Bill he's made 5 in a row from that spot).

Bill Walton also has to have the last word on everything. There was one echange in which he was talking about how the Kings needed to bring in players from the bench in overtime to score and Jones said that the Kings would be better off sticking with who they have because the bench guys would come in cold. He said that the Kings needed to get some offense from Bibby so of course Walton has to chime in that they need Bibby and Jackson to score. Why does he have to try to undermine everything taht everyone else says or try to have the last word on everything? He talks as if he was the greatest basketball player to ever play the game.

I especially hates how he talks all sarcastically about players.  I remember once when Keith Kloss got a offensive rebound and a dunk and Walton was all "Look out Shaq, Wallace and Webber, there is a new rebounding beast...Keith Kloss is coming".  

 

Then when he says stupid things like "He is trying to foul out so he doesn't have to play" or when a guy that has hit 4 threes misses one "It's time to sit him down, he doesn't want to hit the shot."

 

Plus him being a Laker mark pisses me off.  I mean, its cool to be a fan if you aren't behind the desk, but the shilling he does for Shaq and Kobe reaches borderline embarassing some times.

Waltion supposedly ripped on the Clippers when he's doing there games. It probably isn't has bad anymore, but they've got some dogs on there team so he probably still does it.

Yeah, I watch the Clipper games on League pass and he is usually doing the commentary.  The only person I hate more is Calvin Murphy.  those two are horrible comentators.

I've heard Calvin Murphy is nothing but a cheerleader for the Rockets.

It gets so bad sometimes it's hilarious. When they come down to the wire, he starts yelling and gets hoarse. One game last season he could barely talk at the end of OT. He was outlining what the Rockets need to do to win, and he was all rhaspy sounding. It was great.

Bill Walton has been unbearable this year. They were showing Jason Kidd highlights and Walton had to take the time out to say,"Who cares if they don't call traveling? Jam it home." That comment made me almost not want to watch the game. The way the Nets have come out in the first half is making me not want to watch the game too.
