Watching that slow mo, reverse angle of HBK's back getting destroyed was SICK. I keep looking away when you see his upper BUTT like push up.

Guest What?!

Hardcore Holly is sexy?!?!?!

What's up with that Ivory!

I had tears in my eyes from the Bulldog segments. Just brought so many childhood memories. I miss the big guy.

I'm surprised Hogan became friends with that Hogan Fan. Honestly, if someone had a shrine like that for me, I'm thinking potential stalker.

Confidential is so the best WWE show at the moment.

Wow..I feel horrible for Davey Smith and his wife...i always kind of looked down on wrestlers when I hear they are addicted to painkillers..and the whole Bulldog story just kind of brought to light that these are REAL people who aren't perfect..and trying to help someone who is addicted to painkillers is a very daunting task. Kudos to the WWE for actually making this 21 year old kid think and change.

Well I gotta start taping this now and collecting these shows. Velocity I dont care about too much but Confidential is soo fn awesome! I loved just about all the segments, HBK and Bulldog's more. I couldnt believe they showed Bulldog's last match tagging with his son. Incredible, it literally brought a tear to my eye. I must say that I hated WCW in the past, and I never was much of a Warrior fan  Now that I saw that footage I hate WCW even more. I dont feel sorry for the fact they got out of business, damn morons. And the warrior can just go to hell now for doing that to Davey, accident or not. Anyway, I love the fact that they show old footage of WCW and all that. I can't wait for next week!!! Confidential RULES!

loved the show, & that was a very classy and GREAT tribute to davey.  but let me be the first (and maybe the only) to bring the negativity...

how many great shows like that would they be willing to do?  honestly, aside from hbk and the bulldog, it was harmless puff pieces.  it seems like the puff piece direction is the route they're taking, using the hbk stuff to stir initial interest (and, of course, the davey material just presented itself).

this show has a ton of potential.  they own basically the whole north american library & they can do pieces on anything they want, from a real lou thesz tribute to a retrospective on flair's career to the birth and death of ecw.  but i don't think the wwF has enough faith that stuff so old will interest their fans, so they'll probably keep the focus on current superstars.

Ok, there is too much love in this thread... This is the smarks isn’t it!?

WHY COULDN'T THE WWF DO THIS A YEAR AGO!

I can guarantee their ratings wouldn't be this low had they given the fans this a while ago.  It allows fans to truly appreciate what they watch.

Appreciation=respect=loyalty.

I LOVE THIS SHOW.

Finally, a selfless act by the Wwf.  Something for the fans.

Ok, I have a question.

Do you think the omission of Spike in Ecw was a good thing or bad thing?  I was happy for the indy stuff but would have marked out had there been something 'extreme' in it.

You can look at it two ways: By not talking about ECW  in 'Before they were superstars', would almost indicate that in ECW he was a superstar, therefore ECW was 'big time' enough for superstars to be made.

Or, they just don't like to show Ecw footage.

No hate here, I loved the show.  Just a question.

Well they did mention ECW and Taz hiring Spike after he sent his video in. Plus I don't think Vince bought the ECW video library.

Do they even own ECW footage? I'm not sure if they do.

Seeing HBK is such pain during Wrestlemania, the agony, but still determination to put Austin over as best he could, I'm proud of him for that.

And oh dude ... the bulldog has me almost in tears here :(. Confidential is one awesome show.

I think one of the best things about it was William Regal's segments. He was so subdued... and seemes to care very much for Davey. Good Stuff.

Fellas, for anyone who taped it, I'd like a copy.  I'll try and compensate for it, in any way I can.

I'm pretty sure the WWE does own the ECW video archive... didnt they use ECW footage in Lita's newest video? I never saw it, because I despise Lita and think she's one of the ugliest women in wrestling, but I heard that some ECW footage was on it

I'm not sure WWE "owns" the ECW library, but they do have some sort of access to it. Remember last week they were showing RVD footage from ECW. I've also seen them use ECW footage the last year for several wrestlers.

Didn't Undertaker have to threaten Micheals in order for him to do the job to Austin?

Would the WWF dare do a story on Owen Hart's death. Is this a taboo subject or if done in a professional matter would it be ok.

According to the Observer and Meltzer, Taker did have to threaten physical harm to Shawn if he didn't do the right thing.

I don't think the WWE would touch the Owen subject with a 10 meter caddle prod. I think it's too touchy for Vince and if he isn't comfortable, then it don't get shown.

The fact that Confidential, and to a lesser extent Heat & Velocity, is not broadcast in Australia is such a damn shame because from reading reports on the show and your comments on it, I feel like I am missing so much.

Well, at least we still get Afterburn and Bottom Line... (sigh)

To those preventing it from being shown in Australia, (insert  extremely offensive words here)!

Even so, I think that in the actual match, HBK tried not go to running outside of the match and leaving in pain, he stayed until the very end. I think that's my pouint ...... I think .......feh .........eerrr.. whatever. I'm glad I watched the show, NOW LEAVE ME BEEEEE :( ...heh

Well, I don't get UPN either

I'm from Montreal...Quebec, Canada.

TSN and CTV Sportsnet are my only sources for wrasslin (That means I only get RAW and HEAT)

If anybody taped the show...I'd love a copy too. Maybe we can work out a deal or something...

DAMNIT!!!! DAMNIT!!!!!! DAMNIT!!!!!!!

I went out last night so I set the VCR up for the show. I go to watch it today and I only got half the show. I forget to set the right speed on the VCR. Last part of the show I got to see was when Shawn was walking with his wife, and his son in his arms.

Damnit all to Hell! I really wanna see Davey's last match!

Also, next week. Screw TE2 footage! I wanna see the Scott Hall Story now!!!!!

My dad was also crying today when I replayed the tape I did of that show.  The news about WCW firing him while he was in the hospital wasn't a shock to me since I read about that at the time in WOW magazine.  I thought it was disgusting then and it's much worse now.

It was sad hearing all that awful stuff....I almost wished they had just aired some classic Bulldog matches and saved that for a later show next year or something.  I was hoping for some Owen/Bulldog Euro title footage since I only saw bits of that match on Saturday morning shows (I was flooded out at the time and missed the Raw that awesome match was on).

Those are some good ideas for future shows....the stuff on Owen's death, though that would cause all sorts of controversy, maybe Pillman as well.  They could do a brilliant Flair retropsective and show some classic footage, the plane crash, etc.  I'm glad I have this stuff on tape.

By the way that wasn't ECW footage in the RVD piece last week.  It was either old indy stuff or Japan stuff.  Did he do a 450 in one of those matches?  I've never seen him do that move, always wondered if he could.

I'm pretty sure that the ECW footage is still owned by the courts until the debt is paid.

Thats why I cant figure out how Pioneer still puts out dvds.

Confidential was pretty good last night, but, as godthedog pointed out, how much longer do you think pull a show like that off? The Davey Boy Smith tribute--as well done as it was--was only there because he died. The HBK story was quite the attention getter, but there aren't too many HBK stories if the WWF. The rest of the show, from the Spike Dudley bio to the Divas segment, was pure filler. I'll check out next week's show, but I see more and more time wasters in Confidential's future.

The Score doesn't come on basic cable...I'd need like a Bell ExpressVu satellite for that

I used to watch LiveWire on Sportsnet sometimes for SmackDown highlights... but now it's a "RAW brand" show so it's the same crap from Mondays
