Guest stylz Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 Looking at the wcw history website, I came across an interesting match from a tv taping... *** Louisville, Kentucky - Television Taping 12-09-92, The Commonwealth Convention Center 4. Unified (WCW/NWA) Tag Team Champions Ricky Steamboat & Shane Douglas defeated Big Van Vader & WCW U.S. Champion Rick Rude when Steamboat pinned Rude. What tv show was this aired on? This looks like it was a KILLER tv main event. Any help? J
cabbageboy Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 I'd imagine that was on Worldwide or something. The odd part is that I actually remember that TV taping here in Louisville, but didn't go to the actual show. The WWF had just come to the Louisville Gardens and that was my first live event. Then WCW came to the Commonwealth Convention Center, which is a huge joke for those of us here. It's not even really an arena or anything, just a place for conventions.
cawthon777 Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 I think it was just the dark match main event. I can't see WCW during that timeframe giving away a match like that on free TV. After all, we're talking Bill Watts here and not Eric Bischoff.
cabbageboy Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 I was just wondering...when exactly did Bischoff take over? I've always been hazy on when Watts was turfed and Uncle Eric took over. I always assumed it was somewhere in between Starrcade 92 and SuperBrawl in 1993.

Eric took over just before Superbrawl III when he and his friends orchestrated the demotion and quitting of Bill Watts.
