What exactly is a geek?

Recommended Posts

2Gold has totally gone off the deep end in this thread. He went from normal to... horrible in under 60 seconds.

But he was right about what differentiates geeks and nerds. Around these parts (the College of Charleston), being geeky is almost considered cool. Thank goodness for the alpha males/females and their popped collars. I'll take preps and frat guys over geeks any day.

That whole dissection totally brings to mind that Dr. Bumquist fellow from Fear and Loathing.

"And then, if he can convince himself to approve of 'what is happening', then, he becomes groovy.

Grooooo-vy."

2Gold, you're getting waaaaay too into these nonexistent subphyla here. Just quit while you're ahead on this one.

More to do with I was bored and can't leave because of my god damn meds.

I want to be here less and less.

NewYorkFox will be pleased to hear that, Czech.

A spazz is the same as a retard.

No.

Spaz is a derivitive of Spastic, which refers to a condition that causes muscle spasms due to a problem with your nervous system.

Retard comes from retardation which is to slow growth or development of something, eg an under-developed mental capacity.

I can handle people being geeks, so long as they're inteligent with it.
