AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2006 A friend got an MP3 player that requires him to put SP2 on his computer. However, he's on dial up. I'm looking to download it and burn it to a CD, but I'd have use the version for networks (MS wants you to use windows frackin update for a single computer; network version is 255 MB, and even MS says its much more bloated than what is needed for a single home computer). You have the option to order a CD for it from MS for free...but it's 4-6 weeks for delivery and you'd have to pay for shipping. Any links to a smaller download just needed for a home PC? Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted April 10, 2006 None that I know of... most sites just have whatever is on that CD, to download. Plus, I'd be really careful where you decide to download it from. I believe it's quite a bit smaller using Windows Update. He could probably download all of it while he's sleeping, if that's possible. Other than that, if one of you still go to college, you might be able to get a free copy immediately from there.
