Guest Report post Posted June 2, 2002 From wrestling news world: Goldberg has been claiming in recent interviews that he is the most legitimate tough guy in the wrestling industry. He claimed everyone in the locker room in WCW knew he was the toughest legitimate fighter and chose not to start anything with him as far as real fights are concerned. Many say this is Goldberg's way of creeping his foot in the door of a Pride or MMA company. To this date, no discussions have taken place between Goldberg's represenatives and the new NWA Total Nonstop Action promotion that just signed someone Goldberg dislikes behind-the-scenes, and on the scenes for that matter, Scott Hall. Many say this ended any chances of Goldberg joining NWA TNA which weren't good to begin with due to the type of offer they could present him with not interesting Goldberg. WWE has been trying to set up a meeting between Goldberg and Vince McMahon lately. Goldberg continues to claim he cannot do so at this time because he can't clear his schedule. Sources say WWE officials have gone as far as to call Goldberg on a daily basis, really putting Goldberg in the drivers seat as far as negotiations are concerned. Goldberg had asked that Vince McMahon personally contact him with any offers. Many consider that a psychological game to see how far WWE's interest lies, making it easier for Goldberg to play hard-ball during negotiations to get exactly what he's looking for. Goldberg was invited to a recent WWE television taping, but turned the offer down immediately.
Guest Brian Report post Posted June 2, 2002 Goldberg vs. Murakami would be so much fun!
Guest Shaved Bear Report post Posted June 3, 2002 is it true Goldberg has a 4th grade reading level, and if so, he must have 4th grade intelligence if he thinks he is the toughest guy
Guest Invader3k Report post Posted June 3, 2002 Does anyone really care about Bill Goldberg anymore? It's not like he was ever that excited about being a pro-wrestler...he's admitted in interviews that it was basically just another job for him. The guy is an egotistical stiff-working asshole, IMO, and I don't really want to see him working in WWE.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted June 3, 2002 Too bad Goldberg never got in the ring with the champion of workrate Ahmed Johnson. Goldberg probably would've gotten 3 concusions in that sloppy mess.
Guest notJames Report post Posted June 3, 2002 For Vince and Co. to have that much of a hard-on for that no-talent never-was is a sure sign that somebody hit the panic button. They think it's some kind of quick ratings grabber... more like people will tune in to see how fast this jerkoff will screw up or get his head handed to him. I think I'll go on another wrestling hiatus ala 1993-1996 if it comes to that., I'm already at my wits end with crappy programming (although lately it's gotten better on RAW) and Goldbricker will only make things worse. Fuck him and the whore he rode in on.
Guest Risk Report post Posted June 3, 2002 Why is this in the WWE thread? Greenberg isn't in the WWE.
Guest Report post Posted June 3, 2002 But Goldberg *IS* the toughest man in wrestling! I also think Vince is a nice guy, Bret screwed Bret, Diesel was the best WWF Champ ever and Mabel deserved the King of the Ring title. Then again...i might be on crack. This has been the Taker Mark
Guest Ripper Report post Posted June 3, 2002 Shane freakin Helms went at Goldberg in the backstage...how intimidating are you if a cruiserweight sees no problem going at you...of course Shane went at Buff too so maybe he just likes to whoop some prima-donna ass. Guest Report post Posted June 3, 2002 I never heard about Helms and Goldberg. What happen?
Guest Report post Posted June 3, 2002 Goldberg might have walked around acting like a hard-ass in WCW, but I guarantee you that if he tried that backstage in WWE, there would be more than a few guys willing to put him in his place. Quite frankly, I think in a legit "shoot-fight," Kurt Angle would absolutely murder Goldberg. I'd actually like to see Goldberg be brought in for the following reasons: 1. Matches with Hardcore Holly, Chris Benoit and William Regal so that all three could stiff the shit out of him. 2. A match with Austin. I honestly think that is the only true dream "money match" left in wrestling right now. 3. A retirement match with Chris Jericho where Y2J put on an old-skool Liontamer, which caused Goldberg to submit in a nice, clean submission. Hey, I can dream right? Guest Risk Report post Posted June 3, 2002 But Goldberg *IS* the toughest man in wrestling! Then it should be in general wrestling, not the WWE folder.
Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted June 3, 2002 Well to stop this folder riff raff, who do YOU think is the toughest man in the*WWE*
Guest notJames Report post Posted June 3, 2002 Goldust. If you can walk around backstage wearing that get-up and not get the "treatment" from Bradshaw, then you, sir, are tough beyond tough. Honourable mention goes to Jeff Hardy.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted June 3, 2002 Don't I remember a story from a while back where Regal tied Goldberg up on the mat because he was getting to stiff and he couldn't go anywhere? Yeah so tough. Regal could kick the shit out of him.
Guest converge241 Report post Posted June 3, 2002 That Regal Nitro match was great. Is Goldberg "tough"? probably... I would doubt he is anywhere near the top realm of legit toughest (outside of his own mind at least).
Guest J*ingus Report post Posted June 3, 2002 I'm all for putting Goldberg in UFC, Pride, or something similar. It'll be hilarious watching the Kazushi Sakurabas and Frank Shamrocks of the world absolutely murder him.
Guest Brian Report post Posted June 3, 2002 I think Regal's one of the few tough men left in the WWF.
Guest The Son of Sting Report post Posted June 3, 2002 who do YOU think is the toughest man in the*WWE* Goldberg in terms of toughness is proberly on par with a lot of the WWE guys. Regal and Angle would be my top picks.

Guest Report post Posted June 3, 2002 Let Goldberg come in with that big Ego. It would be pretty funny if he got his ass beat down by a few of the guys and then Bradshaw "Got Him" in the Shower.

He's a top UFC competitor and is generally regarded to be just as good as, if not better than, his older & more famous bro.
