Guest Ravenbomb Posted June 2, 2002 Report Posted June 2, 2002 I didn't start watching wrestling that much until November 1998, so I missed out on the best stuff of the nWo angle. Anybody have this DVD? If so, how is it?
Guest Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 It's really cool. You should get it if you never have seen that stuff.
Guest Invader3k Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 Can someone post a short review or synopsis of what exactly is on the nWo DVD? I've heard a lot of praise for it, but have found nothing as far as what exactly is included in the content. Thanks in advance.

Guest mesepher Posted June 4, 2002 Report Posted June 4, 2002 dang... sounds like a good wrestling DVD... might have to search for this one once I get my job... how long is the DVD?
Guest Ravenbomb Posted June 4, 2002 Report Posted June 4, 2002 about as long as every other DVD. I've misplaced any measuring device I might own, so just imagine a CD but with a movie and stuff on it, and that's a DVD, same length, height, thickness, the whole bit
Guest DerangedHermit Posted June 4, 2002 Report Posted June 4, 2002 about as long as every other DVD. Guest Ravenbomb Posted June 4, 2002 Report Posted June 4, 2002 I don't know about RUNNING but I rolled one on it's side once and it didn't go for very long
Guest mesepher Posted June 4, 2002 Report Posted June 4, 2002 that is the kind of humor I'd expect coming from a Raven fan... especially since I am one too.
Guest Blue Bacchus Posted June 5, 2002 Report Posted June 5, 2002 The running time is about 1 1/2 hours if you just watch the video. Now if you add in the bonus matches you're looking at 3 hours or just shy of 3 hours. I just got it today (with UHF) it's pretty awesome, I love how they really used the Dub-Cee-Dub library for the DVD.
Guest Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 I got the DVD the other day and if you havent seen anything from WCW in 96 you have to buy this DVD. It is incredibly good, and I was impressed. I couldnt believe how much crap the fans threw in the ring at BATB 96! I know they have thrown stuff in the WWE before but damn man!!! It has all the nWo commercials of them coming to the WWE. The BATB match, War Games from Fall Brawl in 96 (which I must say that now that I have sen that match I really wish the WWE would attempt it. It is awesome),Nash/Goldberg from Starrcade 98 and that hadicap match on raw with austin/rock VS nWo. It goes through the good first week or two in the WWE and all the hype of them coming which is great. Vince is such a great actor acting crazed and evil. It stops at Xpac joining the nWo and the WCW stuff stops when the Giant joins then they go to the WWE footage which is cool. Anyway this is one of the better WWE DVDs have put out in recent. Stop reading this and get it if you haven't already!!!
Guest dreamer420 Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 how does the dvd compare to the vhs? some of us don't have the benefit of dvd players.
Guest jm29195 Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 Are there any bonus matches on the dvd and if so what are they?
Guest Some Guy Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 Nash vs. Goldberg the BATB 96 match where Hogan turned War Games from FallBrawl 96 nWo vs Austin and Rock from Raw Watch the the show part of the disc right up until they hit the WWF portion, it's not worth the time. The first part shows something that Turner edited out of the tape of BATB 96. A fan ran in the ring and Nash jabbed him right in the mouth and Hall stomped the shit out of the guys head. That's one drunken fat fuck who won't be running in the ring any time soon.
Guest Some Guy Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 About what? It was the Starcade match where hw ended the streak, he probably lobbied the home video department to put the match in.
Guest dreamer420 Posted June 7, 2002 Report Posted June 7, 2002 i don't know why I wrote nash there. I meant to write wcw must have been pissed and that is why it was edited out. sorry.
Guest Slapnuts00 Posted June 9, 2002 Report Posted June 9, 2002 i don't know why I wrote nash there. I meant to write wcw must have been pissed and that is why it was edited out. sorry. I have Bash At The Beach 96 official video, and the fan run in is on there. I remember Tony saying like "Look at this, a fan is trying to get in the ring!". Just saying. And by the way, I got the NWO DVD today and it kicks ass. I wish it had more WCW stuff after 96, because 96-98 was when I was wayy into WCW and the sampling of footage shown brought back some memories. EDIT: hmmm I just checked my tape, and I guess you're right. I swear I remember seeing it before though. Maybe it's on my WCW Fan Favorites tape, which has that match on it, maybe they didn't edit it out there. O well.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted June 9, 2002 Report Posted June 9, 2002 Well, I was at best buy, I had it IN MY HAND...for $20...but instead I got Kalifornia, along with the Spawn animated series DVD set and...finally...I FINALLY got the Usual Suspects SE DVD...although I haven't watched it yet, I'm watching it sometime tomorrow. Maybe next time...
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted June 9, 2002 Report Posted June 9, 2002 Do they have features on 'other' Nwo guys? Where is Scott FLASH Norton, or NWO JAPAN?
Guest evenflowDDT Posted June 9, 2002 Report Posted June 9, 2002 Do they have features on 'other' Nwo guys? Where is Scott FLASH Norton, or NWO JAPAN? What about the LWO? Where's their spot on the DVD?!
Guest Slapnuts00 Posted June 9, 2002 Report Posted June 9, 2002 None accept the Giant's first nWo turn. In fact, after Fall 96 (right before the Macho vs. Hogan feud) the WCW portion is over and it the rest of the DVD focuses on their WWF return. O well.
Guest dreamer420 Posted June 10, 2002 Report Posted June 10, 2002 Do they have features on 'other' Nwo guys? Where is Scott FLASH Norton, or NWO JAPAN? or brian adams, or steve ray, or vincent?
