Guest wildpegasus Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 So I downloaded Metroid for the NES -- That sounds all fine and dandy but the problem is I can't get absolutely anywhere. I read a couple of FAQS and they say you're supposed to jump to the left over that "stair structure". However, I can't even come close to jumping over it as I can only get about half of the heigth I need. Is there something I don't know?
Guest Tuxedo Mask Posted April 23, 2006 Report Posted April 23, 2006 Vile fiend, we are but a few months from Nintendo offering us decades old titles such as Metroid for a low download cost on the Revolution. Why do you wish to seek advice from video game players for a game - a game that is part of a business you are determined to destroy by robbing a helpless company of the profit it deserves? Like a rose waiting to grow, the good that is the Nintendo Revolution will be a beautiful thing when it is in bloom. *throws rose at wildpegasus*
CanadianChris Posted April 23, 2006 Report Posted April 23, 2006 Isn't the big rock to the left a large stair structure? I haven't played the game in a LONG time, but that's what I remember it as. You can climb up it easily, but you can't go back the other way without the morphing ball (which is conveniently placed just beyond the big rocks).
AndrewTS Posted April 23, 2006 Report Posted April 23, 2006 Holding down the jump button longer makes you jump higher. And yeah, once you jump over the ledge grab the morph ball.

Well, I guess I'll have to do some research on the Revolution downloads to see if I'll be able to do it or not. But the reason I'm scared of the Revolution is because the joystick is wireless so that means there's gonna be more radioactivity like stuff floating through the air. And that my gliding friend is dangerous because who knows what that does to your physcial health? It could greatly diminish my sex drive which in turn would diminish my love for the Sailor Scouts. The Nintendo Revolution can indeed become a beautiful rose but when push comes to shove I want to have my rose in full bloom. For that to be, sacrifices have to be made. *throws rose at sailor scouts* I made the jump by the way. One of the buttons didn't seem to be working correctly. Now I have to figure out a way to switch the keypads around.
