I wasn't paying attention to WCW at that point, so could someone please describe what happened? Thanks.

His first ppv opponent has to be paragon of anti USA - Hacksaw Duggan. Hack felt he was beneath selling or jobbing to Berlyn and it effectively killed the character. I think it could have got over too.. bastard duggan
Guest HartFan86 Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 This happened at Halloween Havoc 99. This also happened at Superbrawl 5 with Wright and Paul Roma. I have that match on tape and it's so insanely funny. Roma totally no sells everything and doesn't like Wright do jack shit.

And yeah, why did they all hate Wright? Sure, his "Das Wunderkind" gimmick was annoying as hell back when he first started, but he wasn't so bad and improved over the years.

It should also be mentioned that Duggan was only out there because Buffy "Mr. Professional" Bagwell refused to do the job outright. I'd also like to mention that it came back and bit FDuggan on the ass, because Russo (sorta) pushed Wright, and made Duggan the janitor
