Guest Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 Will Benoit be at Raw tonight? Will Austin get his revenge on Guerrero, Flair, Arn, and Benoit? Which jobber will Undertaker beat the shit out of? Who will make Brock look like even less of a monster this week? How many times will the Hardcore Title switch hands tonight?
Guest Brian Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 After almost a year absense, "The Rabid Wolverine" Chris Benoit returned to a loud ovation of cheers in front of his hometown crowd in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, last Monday night. But, by the end of the broadcast, Benoit's fan reaction had quickly turned to a chorus of boos. Benoit, with the help of Eddie Guerrero, Arn Anderson and Flair, turned his back on Stone Cold Steve Austin and beat the Rattlesnake down in the middle of the ring at the close of the show. How will Stone Cold react tonight in his home state of Texas? What will Flair have to say about the matter? Will Benoit -- a drafted SmackDown! talent -- even be in Dallas? Tune in tonight! Two warriors put their bodies on the line in a brutal ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship last Monday night. Finally, Rob Van Dam emerged as the new IC Champion, stripping Eddie Guerrero of the title, as he ascended up the steel structure and grasped the golden belt. What challenge lies next for RVD? Is Goldust part of the nWo? Last week, the leader of the nWo, Kevin Nash, made his way to the ring during Goldust's match against Crash, but instead of attacking The Golden One, who was wearing nWo colors, Nash finished off Crash with a big boot to the face. Has Nash accepted Goldust as part of his faction? What do the other nWo members think of this decision?
Guest Brian Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 WWE.com has found out that Kevin Nash has a major announcement planned for tonight's shows. What will the leader of the nWo have to say tonight in Dallas? Also, King of the Ring qualifying matches kick off tonight. X-Pac faces Goldust, and Booker T goes one-on-one against William Regal in first round action. Trish Stratus puts her Women's Championship on the line against Terri in a Lingerie Match. And Tommy Dreamer will try to gain some revenge against Undertaker when he battles the Dead Man in Dallas.
Guest Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 I'll be pretty psyched if Taker sells for Dreamer like he did for Orton. Not that it'll happen, but still...
Guest converge241 Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 maybe Nash is pulling the plug on the NWO.. and the king tourney is official!!
Guest Just call me Dan Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 Nash's announcement will probably be some new mystery nWo member of the past returning at KOTR. Just to try and get a few buyrates.
Guest Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 Do we really need another Lingerie Match with Trish and Terri?? I love looking at women as much as the next guy but it is getting where these matches are so common that it really isn't a "treat" anymore. RAW NEEDS some more wrestlers so we don't get anymore matches with Terri.
Guest Brian Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 They'd almost be better off just throwing out the NWO name and using the Kliq with Waltman, Nash, Hall and HBK. NWO's pretty much dead once they finish putting Booker over and then they can just kick Show out and do the old "they beat up the big man they're a real threat thing" until they decide who HBK will wrestle his last match against.
Guest Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 Good thing they signed the 2 girls from Tough Enough, so they can take the Women Division seriously, Huh? So, X-pac will cost Booker his match and then Booker will return the favor later in the night and we get more "turmoil" in the nWo?
Guest Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 But will the try to push Bradshaw again? And if they do, how long until the ratings hit in the 1's? Personally, I think stuff like that is the most entertaining part of WWE.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 Personally, I think stuff like that is the most entertaining part of WWE. You know, you can go bitch about the ratings of any TV show. When the swarming negativity is the "most entertaining part," I don't know what to say about wrestling nowadays.
Guest El Satanico Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 Terri in a Lingerie Match? Terri wearing lingerie? Oh great...i'm now blind just from reading aboot such a horrible sight. So i guess this mean that the women's division will only be worth watching when Jazz is wrestling? Hmm they go from actual watchable women's matches to more shitty mix tag teams and they are now back to doing boring gimmicked women's matches. I thought someone said Fit Finlay was responsible for the division...i can't see him as someone responsible for stupid shit like lingerie matches. Well unless he was just recently put in charge and this isn't his doing.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 What challenge will emerge next for RVD? ugh....its not going to be Eddy, Benoit or Booker...so its not going to be good. maybe Brock...but its a match that will either kill Brock...or kill RVD. I am getting the feeling that RVD won't be in the tourney...but will be defending the IC title against someone stupid at the ppv.
Guest Nevermortal Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 But will the try to push Bradshaw again? Well, tonight, they'll be in Texas, so Bradshaw will be over.
Guest Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 What challenge will emerge next for RVD? ugh....its not going to be Eddy, Benoit or Booker...so its not going to be good. maybe Brock...but its a match that will either kill Brock...or kill RVD. I am getting the feeling that RVD won't be in the tourney...but will be defending the IC title against someone stupid at the ppv. I have a feeling we may see Eddie/Flair Vs Austin/RVD. But then again, their in Texas so it will probably be Austin/Bradshaw with RVD Vs Stasiak or someone.
Guest Human Fly Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 At least they're having a payoff to the mini-angle with 'Taker and Dreamer. I wonder if Dreamer will get any offense in?
Guest Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 At least they're having a payoff to the mini-angle with 'Taker and Dreamer. I wonder if Dreamer will get any offense in? Oh, you Silly little guy. Of Course not!
Guest Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 He'll probably get some offence in, but Taker will of course no-sell all of it and pin Dreamer after three punches.
Guest Flyboy Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 What challenge will emerge next for RVD? ugh....its not going to be Eddy, Benoit or Booker...so its not going to be good. maybe Brock...but its a match that will either kill Brock...or kill RVD. I am getting the feeling that RVD won't be in the tourney...but will be defending the IC title against someone stupid at the ppv. I have a feeling we may see Eddie/Flair Vs Austin/RVD. I was having that feeling, too... But, I fear bps is right.. maybe RVD will defend the IC Title against someone stupid at the PPV. Or maybe RVD will go over Brock or something (or vice versa.. which I hope not), so who knows?
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 I'm going to stick to my original prediction of RVD vs. Big Show IC title match. WOOPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guest Flyboy Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 Not only would that give him a shitty opponent, but it would make the NWO go after the IC Title like you said... Damn you, bps... damn you.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 RVD vs Booker T. Come on. That wouldn't be so bad.
Guest Brian Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 They can't go with that. Booker has so much business with the NWO that there's almost no way they can put that aside unless they bring in Ron Waterman as a hypnotist.
Guest RetroRob215 Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 This week won't be anywhere near as good as last, but at least teh KOTR tournament is getting started. Hopefully Benoit becomes Raw talent, they could use a a great wrestler in the main event scene seeing how currently Steve Austin is the only main eventer on the show.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted June 4, 2002 Report Posted June 4, 2002 Ruh oh. Security! Security! Who called Security?
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted June 4, 2002 Report Posted June 4, 2002 Security Guards? That is soooooo 1998
Guest HartFan86 Posted June 4, 2002 Report Posted June 4, 2002 I wonder if this security is here because last week. and OMG, look at that WHOOOOOOOOOOOOO sign. It's huge.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted June 4, 2002 Report Posted June 4, 2002 Maybe the guards are out there to keep people from running in and attacking Eddy.
