Guest Report post Posted June 4, 2002 And why did I use a lightbulb? Anyways, my vote is for Episode V. It has it all, boba Phatt, Yoda, Carbon Freezing Chambers, someone hanging from a weathervane, those cool Cloud City ships that look like wooden shoes, severed hands (two if you count the Wampas!) Bounty Hunters (we dont need that scum!) Cliff Clavin, people dying via a "force-choke" Asteroids and Tauntauns- how can you go wrong? Oh yeah i forgot a great score and At-At's!!!!! Guest Report post Posted June 4, 2002 Return of the Jedi. I'm an Emperor Palpatine Mark, especially with the evil lightning.
Guest mesepher Report post Posted June 4, 2002 I was never quite fond of Empire untill I watched it again over Christmas break... damn, it's a wonder what a few years of maturity can do. I like Empire the best now, because of how it develops the storyline along, and I like the Hoth planet. Perhaps, once Clones comes out on DVD I will be able to have a greater appreciation for that... but most likely not, oh well.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted June 4, 2002 I've never been quite fond of Empire, myself... I mean it's a damned good one, and I know many people has it as their favorite, but... I've always been prone to Return of the Jedi.
Guest Report post Posted June 4, 2002 Empire is the best, Return of the Jedi is my favorite. Episode II may just overtake Jedi though once I get a little more time to compare it to the others.

Guest Report post Posted June 4, 2002 I also like return of the jedi, followed by empire, clones, new hope and the 1st gets no mention from me. Infact, I liked spaceballs better than episode one, and any other parody they release on star wars, or any other star was movie to come out ever, I will like better than episode 1. --Rob
Guest Black Lushus Report post Posted June 4, 2002 i don't understand the huge knock everyone gives Episode 1...it had the best lightsaber duel out of all of them, action-wise anyway and really wasn't THAT bad a story...i can understand saying it was the worst of the 5, but come on, it wasn't THAT bad... and when I say action-wise I mean compared to, say ROTJ where Luke vs. Darth had more drama and suspense than pure action as opposed to outright flashy moves like Obi Wan vs. Maul or Yoda vs. Dooku...my favorite duel is still Anakin vs. Dooku, the lighting effect was cool, in my opinion anyway and really reminded me of Luke/Vader... anyway, back to the original topic, I'd go with Empire and then Return... Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted June 4, 2002 Episode IV...A New Hope I think as a whole I liked Empire better...but that's only if I'm watching them one after another as they're meant to be seen. IV makes the most sense on its own...so I likes it.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted June 4, 2002 i like the original star wars from 1977. watch that movie and you'll see why george lucas should never have gotten into cgi special effects and all that crap.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted June 4, 2002 ESB is really, really good, but it really misses the presence of Alec Guiness (in a meaningful role) and Peter Cushing. Those two are fantastic in ANH. The clincher though is the Battle of Yavin in ANH. One of the best sequences of all time, and the one that truly launched the Star Wars mythos. 1. Episode IV - A New Hope 2. Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back 3. Episode II - Attack of the Clones The top three are much better than the other two. The love story is boring, but necessary. Count Dooku is the best new character since ESB (First Appearance of Boba Fett, Palpatine & Yoda). 4. Episode I - The Phantom Menace The Pod Race is great, and there are several good scenes, but the final battle is the worst of the series, and it takes forever to get going. I actually liked Jake Lloyd, but hated Liam Neeson. 5. Episode VI - Return of the Jedi Any scene with Vader is amazing. Everything else sucks. Act 2 in particular is horrible. Guest starvenger Report post Posted June 5, 2002 I've always thought that Empire had the best balance of the five, plus the bad guys won that particular battle - which is always a cool thing. And it's probably just a coincidence, but it's also the only film that wasn't directed or "ghost" directed by Lucas...
Guest Crazy Dan Report post Posted June 5, 2002 My favorite was Empire Strikes Back. It has a great chase scene. It has a great swerve. It's character developement is the best out of all of them. And I love the escape at the end. I liked Star Wars, Return, and Clones. But Epsiode one left me feeling not satisfied at all.

Guest Report post Posted June 5, 2002 Return of the Jedi was probably my fav but Episode 2 was a great edition to the series.
Guest Tomato Can Report post Posted June 5, 2002 I don't see how anybody could put either of the new ones up against the old trilogy. It's just not even close. 1. A New Hope 2. Empire Strikes Back 3. Return of the Jedi 4. Attack of the Clones 5. Phantom Menace Return of the Jedi may not have been the movie the first 2 were, but putting it below the new ones is just horrible. Attack of the Clones may have been better than Phantom Menace, but I will not just ignore the horrible acting and reams of filler, and it also holds the dubious distinction of being the only Star Wars movie I've nearly fallen asleep during.
