Guest notJames Report post Posted June 4, 2002 ...we go somewhere, we wrestle - we go somewhere else, we wrestle. I mean - God - we don't live for the moment - we're not extreme...we're...hypocrites." After that vignette aired, a number of thoughts went through my mind as to what Jeff was going to do... a. Kiss his brother b. Randomly attack people with chairs c. Go out to the ring and strip d. Jump his motorbike over the ring e. Run in during a Raven match (if there was one) and help beat down his opponent f. Retire What did y'all think was going to happen? [by the way, I'll echo the sentiments of other posters when they said the Hardyz gave their best delivery of lines in a long time, although it's probably because it was a subdued, mellow situation without any high drama or intensity.[
Guest Report post Posted June 4, 2002 I was hoping retire but hey, I got one wish answered monday, I can't win em all. --Rob
Guest Report post Posted June 4, 2002 Well, no doubt that it was well delivered, although I didnt have ANY idea what was going on. Maybe Jeff is gonna retire, maybe he has had enough ! Although it probably is just another 'make fans tune in' scheme to see what the fuck he is talkin about.
Guest notJames Report post Posted June 4, 2002 Since he attacked Taker, I'm thinking he'll try to "reap the whirlwind" and try to take the World Title from him. No doubt it will lead to a massive beatdown as only Jeff Hardy can take part in. But really, is being beat down by an over-the-hill redneck paper champion all that "extreme"? Guest WildPegasusXXII Report post Posted June 4, 2002 seems to me like he's gonna get the living shit kicked out of him by the Undertaker next week....after that, who knows. He's probably going to keep doing things that'll lead to him getting the bejesus kicked out of him, which is ok with me, because that means he's going to keep getting his ass beat. Guest razazteca Report post Posted June 4, 2002 it looks like Jeff want to join in on Tommy Green Jackass Dreamer's extreme acts of stupidity. Jeff = Wee Man Matt = Grillo why else would Jeff attack Taker? unless this a weak build up to the reformation of the Flock ???
Guest Report post Posted June 4, 2002 For cryin out loud....Jeff Hardy is S.T.A.L.E. Put him with Raven!
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted June 4, 2002 He sounded depressed. I dunno, but I first thought we were teasing a suicide angle which is just plain bad (Him jumping off the TitanTron like Hawk did).
Guest oldschoolwrestling Report post Posted June 4, 2002 I was hoping he was going to take his guitar and smash it over XSucks head.
Guest Invader3k Report post Posted June 4, 2002 Oh come on! I thought the drunken Hawk and suicide angles were hillarious. I laughed my ass off when Droz "accidentally" pushed Hawk off the Titatron, followed by Animal's hillarious facial expression and yelling "Nooooooo!" Classic stuff. And I have no idea where they're going with the Hardyz angle right now. Hopefully it leads to them getting split up...actually, I think the Hardyz should be traded for Benoit...then have either turn on the other in their first match on Smackdown. Guest Ash Ketchum Report post Posted June 4, 2002 He'll be teaming w/Raven. To me, Jeff is the Mart Jannety and Matt is the Shawn Michaels of Team Extreme. I'm telling you: Matt Hardy could seriously bust out without his brother.
Guest Ravenbomb Report post Posted June 4, 2002 Either he'll be with Raven...er...either he'll team with Raven or he'll just do stuff that'll get the crapped kicked out of him
Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted June 5, 2002 I thought their promo sucked. They said "man" after every sentence. It just came off as lame and unrealistic. I seriously can't see two people talking to each other that way.

I seriously can't see two people talking to each other that way. Ummm... it's a good thing you don't talk to me then Rob, 'cuz if you just replace the "man" with "like" or "dude", those are my sentences right there. I've been told when speaking I'm SO Californian... so... yea, people do talk like that, amazingly enough. Also, I had hoped that the Hardyz would be joining with Raven as well, but hey, much as I dislike Jeff Hardy, I'd rather see a Jeff Hardy vs. Tommy Dreamer vs. The Undertaker triple threat match for the title on free TV than Trips vs. The Undertaker on PPV. Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted June 5, 2002 "it looks like Jeff want to join in on Tommy Green Jackass Dreamer's extreme acts of stupidity." LOL. I am gonna run with the name Tommy Fear Factor from now on when I address Mr. Dreamer.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted June 5, 2002 as soon as jeff was done talking I turned to my buddy and said ohh no, jeff's going to kill himself tonight. luckily he didn't and I must admit that I am a little excited about the possibility of a Jeff Hardy/Undertaker feud. my guess is that he is going to keep bothering opponents he should be leaving alone. taking on bigger challengers I guess. Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted June 5, 2002 I was kind of hoping he'd smash the guitar right over Matt's head, right then. Guitars in wrestling are destined for such a fate.

I'm telling you: Matt Hardy could seriously bust out without his brother. If Matt Hardy is Shawn Michaels, Christian is Lou Thesz, Ric Flair, Bret Hart, Ricky Steamboat and Steve Austin rolled into one. No diss on Christian, he is funny and talented, but Matt Hardy seriously sucks.
Guest Cataclysm911 Report post Posted June 6, 2002 Anglesault, not everyone has your tastes man. The Hardyz obviously have some fans. I would rather watch Jeff Vs UT for free than HHH Vs. UT for $35 as well. I like the idea of Jeff Hardy joining a new Raven's Flock though.. I don't understand why people have so much faith in Matt Hardy. To me, he is just "Lita's Boyfriend." He has no character at all. I hate his in ring skills too. I think that Jeff will get an upset victory over the Undertaker. Of course, it will be in a non title contest. Then, the Undertaker can apply the slatherings. Matt will come out to watch the paramedics carry away Jeff on a stretcher.. Jeff then will make "an amazing comeback. He should be in the hospital by GAWD!" and keep challenging bigger people like someone else suggested.

I would say 12-16 They aren't really that bad, they are just stale. That is in large part to WWE match lengths, and the current lack of tag teams in the WWE. Character development as well.. They could easily become good though, unlike Test, whom needs a lot of work, like I stated in another thread.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted June 6, 2002 I think they need to change their characters a little. This whole quasi-gay (Not a shot at anyone, but you can't deny, that is what they are playing) gimmick is just spinning it's wheels. They also need to learn some moves. Some GOOD moves.
Guest Cataclysm911 Report post Posted June 6, 2002 That's what I'm trying to say. They have moves, I'm willing to be that they have good moves at that.. but they don't have time to work them into a match. Poetry in Motion Twist of Fate Lita Hurricanrana (When she's there) Swanton Bomb Opponent's Offense Jeff's Low Blow Leg Drop Matt's Top Rope Clothesline Matt's Second Rope Leg Drop That is all they have time for. I'm sure that they could incorporate some psychology, perharps Jeff working the ribs & Matt working the neck to set up their finishers, but they don't have time. I liked them in all of their TLC matches, granted they had a gimmick to work with, but they got time too.
