Guest Tony149 Report post Posted June 4, 2002 I remember seeing a post on booking a WCW vs. WWF card using wrestlers in the early '90s. Well, I was bored, so I decided to do a WWF vs. WCW card in 1990. Hope you enjoy it. Wrestle War March. 1990 Arena: MSG Commentators: Jim Ross (WCW) & Jesse "The Body" Ventura (WWF) JR explains there will be 10 inter-promotion matches. 4 tag team matches, 1 Six-Man tag match & 4 single matches. The "higher ups" from the WWF & WCW picking 6 guys who wrestled on the card going into the final match to represent them in....WarGames! JR notes Gary Michael Cappetta will introduce WCW wrestlers -- Finkle, WWF wrestlers. JR also says the WWF & WCW will alternate rules. WCW rules means no throwing over the top rope or slamming the head into the guard-rails. Says the WCW Title vs. WWF Title match will be under WWF rules. WarGames, of course, is anything goes. Split-screen shows WCW & WWF wrestlers in their own side of the arena with Cops in the middle. U.S. Title Team Title Match under WCW rules Midnight Express w/Jim Cornette vs. The Hart Foundation Before the match begins, Jim Cornette cuts a anti-WWF promo and bashes the Hart Foundation. Back and forth, fast paced match sees the MX win after Jim Cornette hits Bret in the head with the tennis racket allowing the Midnight's to double team Neidhart, and winning by hitting The Rocker Launcher. Winners: The Midnight Express in 16:29 **** Gordon Soile interviews Sting, hyping his match with "The Million $ Man" Ted DiBiase. DiBiase cuts a promo with "Mean" Gene. Saying he's twice as rich as Ted Turner, but wouldn't buy second rate trash like WCW. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Sting vs. "The Million $ Man" Ted DiBiase - under WWF rules Good match that sees the youngster Sting pull off an upset on the veteran DiBiase by using a school-boy. Winner: Sting in 11:39 *** 1/2 Gordon interviews The Rock n Roll Express. Who hype their match against The Rockers. Calling them ripoffs. The Rockers cut a promo with "Mean Gene" saying the RnR are old news, etc. RnR vs. The Rockers - WCW rules Fans are split on who to cheer for. Excellent match that sees The Rockers pin Robert Gibson after Ricky & Robert BUTT heads allowing The Rockers to hit a double team drop kick on Gibson for the 1-2-3. Winners: The Rockers in 17:49 **** 3/4 The Horsemen cut a promo backstage with Gordon. Arn cuts a promo on Jake "The Snake" Roberts, "Macho King" Randy Savage & Dusty Rhodes. Saying they can't trust Savage, and the Horsemen ran Dusty out of WCW. Now their going run him out of wrestling forever. Sid & Barry Windham look on. "Mean" Gene interviews Roberts, Savage & Rhodes. Savage says he'll work with Dusty for "One night only! Yeah! But at WrestleMania...I'm going to kick you BUTT all over the Skydome. OH YEAH!! Dig it?" The Horsemen (Arn, Sid & Barry) vs. Jake "The Snake Roberts, Dusty Rhodes & "Macho King" Randy Savage w/Queen Sherri - WWF rules Entertaining match as Anderson, Windham, Roberts & Savage carry a majority of it. Sid & Barry brawl with Savage & Rhodes outside. While Jake hits the DDT on Arn for the win. Winners: Jake, Savage & Dusty in 10:20 *** Gordon interviews the Steiner Brothers who will be involved in a title vs. title match. The WCW tag titles against WWF Tag Team titles. Gene interviews Bobby "The Brain" Heenan with Haku & Andre. WCW Tag Title vs. WWF Tag Title - WCW rules Haku & Andre The Giant w/Bobby Heenan vs. the Steiner Brothers Bad match, as the Steiners aren't able to carry Haku and a beaten down Andre. Pier-Six breaks out, outside. Double count out. Winners: Non. Double count out 8:50 DUD Warrior cuts a weird promo in his locker room. Gordon interviews Lex Luger from the WCW locker room. Calls Warrior "a freak", and says he'll bring the IC Title to WCW. U.S. Title vs. IC Title - WWF rules Lex Luger vs. The Warrior Horrible match. Double guys get wild, which causes a double DQ. Winners: Non. Double DQ in 10:07 DUD Road Warriors w/Paul Ellering cut a promo saying they're going to kick those Road Warrior ripoffs, Demolition's ass in the "New York Street Fight." Demolition says they're ready to get wild & crazy. New York Street Fight Road Warriors w/Paul Ellering vs. Demolition Wild brawl. Hawk gives Smash a German suplex thru a table, but both men's shoulders are down. WCW & WWF officials come out and say it will count as a pin for both feds. Warriors & Demos are pissed and attack the refs to a huge pop from the crowd. Winners: Both teams in 12:56 *** for the brawling "Mean" Gene interviews Hogan. "YOU KNOW SOMETHING, "MEAN" GENE! You have Ric Flair and his so-called World Title, walking around saying he's better than Hulk Hogan, and the WCW title is better than the WWF title. Well, you know something, brother. Hulk Hogan and his millions of Hulkamanics aren't afraid of you or your little Horsemen. I'm going to put all the little Hulksters on my back and swim our way to the winners circle, dude! So WHATCHA GONNA DO, when Hulkamania and millions of Hulkamanics run over you and the WCW? Whatcha gonna do?" ::Hulk poses and leaves"" Flair is interviewed by Gordon Soile. "Gordon Solie! What we have here, is a man who can't face the facts! I'M RIC FLAIR! The greatest wrestler & World Champion to ever walk God's green earth. You talk about you Hulkamanics running over me. Pal, Ric Flair isn't worried about a bunch of 6 year olds. They get in my way (pause) HAHA! The Horsemen and a belt will take care of 'em all. Oh, and how can I forget your lovely wife, Hogan? She has a free ride on Space Mountain, anytime of the day. HAHAHA!! Then you'll be saying "What's causin' all this?" So wheather you like it, or you don't like it -- learn to love it! Because in a matter of minutes -- Ric Flair is gonna walk down that ramp, style and proflie -- like only da Nature Boy can. I'll go in with one belt...I'll walk out with two. WHOOOOOOO!!!" 30 minute time limit - WWF rules WCW Title vs. WWF Title Ric Flair vs. Hulk Hogan Great match, as Flair carries Hogan. Flair works over Hogan's leg. Hogan starts hulking up with 2 minutes left in the time limit . Big boot! Going for the leg drop...NO! Flair moved out of the way. Flair locks on the Figure-Four with 25 seconds left. Hogan isn't giving up. 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1...DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! Time limit draw. Crowd boos, then gives both men a standing ovation. Winners: Non. Time limit draw. Both men keep their titles in 30:00 **** Now time to see who the WWF & WCW pick to represent them in WarGames. WarGames Team WCW: Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Road Warriors, Sting, Lex Luger. JR notes WCW is going with guys who have had lots of cage matches with Sting being picked for his quickness. Team WWF: Hulk Hogan, the Warrior, "Macho King" Randy Savage, Dusty Rhodes & Demolition. Jess Ventura says the WWF picked Dusty due to the fact he's been in WarGames in the past. Jese also says when Demolition or the Road Warriors go in...they go in together. So one fed could have a 3 on 1 advantage if they choose to. WarGames Team WCW vs. Team WWF 5 minute opening period WCW: Arn Anderson WWF: Dusty Rhodes Arn is busted wide open. Coin flip...WCW wins it. Period 2 WCW sends in the Road Warriors. The Warriors used their spike to cut Dusty in the head. WWF sends in Demolition Demos bring in a chair and the Road Warriors are now bleeding. Period 3 WCW sends in Barry Windham WWF sends in Randy Savage Period 4 WCW sends in Lex Luger WWF sends in the Warrior Period 6 WCW sends in Ric Flair WWF sends in Hulk Hogan Demolition, Savage & Windham are now busted open. Period 7 WCW sends in Sting The Match Beyond Begins! Submission or surrender! Flair & Hogan are now bleeding. Finish sees Dusty submit to the Figure-Four by Ric Flair. Winners: Team WCW in 49:39. Becomes the bloodiest match in history. ***** I had three B.S. finishes due to the fact there would probably be fighting between the WWF & WCW on who to job, and they didn't want their champions losing to each other. Team WWF picked Rhodes because of his past WarGames experience. The WWF & WCW had a game plan. Start off with experience guys. Arn & Dusty got the start. Guest Tony149 Report post Posted June 10, 2002 The only reason the Steiners vs. Andre/Haku is on there is due to them being the tag champions of their promotions. Had I done that event later in 1990. It would of been Doom vs. Demolition or the Hart Foundation. As the Steiners had lost the belts by then. Andre couldn't take bumps by that time (Could take a Steinerline). So Haku would have to do all the bumping. I might do another WWF vs. WCW card this time for 1992 at some point. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
