Guest Posted June 5, 2002 Report Posted June 5, 2002 Since I seem to be the only one that doesn't understand the entire Star Wars saga, I want to know the ENTIRE history of the Star Wars universe. From the Old Republic to the New Republic. From the Jedi to the Sith. From the Galatic Senate to the Empire. From before The Phantom Menace to after Return of the Jedi. I want to know because George Lucas's fantasy universe often confuses me. So can you help me just so I can understand the story when I go see Attack of the Clones?

Star Wars is in it's own "universe"... so it will probably really never end. I mean, hell... now, the there is no New Republic and the galaxy is faced upon the Vong. So... yeah. I suggest you picking up Star Wars: The Essential Guide to New Characters. It's a good read, and should answer *some* of your questions.

While you got right down to the basics I would still like the entire history. Where do they sell that history of Star Wars book?

Or head to a local chain bookstore and browse through the Star Wars section; As Flyboy said, this would take forever to do. The post-Return of the Jedi stuff alone would take a hell of a long time to explain (I don't even know most of it). But if anyone here wants to give it a shot, feel free. I'm kinda curious myself.

If you try to rational why to see the movie then just go watch for the special effects, Yoda fight scene, Senator Amanadjfakdala nips can be seen through the sheer costumes. Basically without spoiling the movie any more its about how Skywalker and Senator Amanalkdjfakfjddala fall in love, the more indepth of the evil empire power build up, the whole Fear leads to pain leads to suffering profitcy. Its been said before and has a whole lot of truth to it "Lucas is good with special effects but does not know how to direct actors"
