Guest mesepher Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 I don't think Pink Floyd would appreciate you associating their music with drug usage especially since Roger Keith Barrett went insane due to enormous drug usage... with that aside... mainly early, early Floyd is musically exotic, once you get passed 1972 era Floyd, they cease to be phsychedelic. but I believe listening to Careful with that Axe, Eugene might scare you stupid. saying that The Final Cut is a good album to "smoke up" to is just silly... Spaceman... didn't want to be an asshole, just wanted to clarify peace

The music does not connect with me on a spiritual or halluconigenic level and being high while listening to the album would not enhance your buzz. With that said, listening to the first side of Atom Heart Mother is an absolute pleasure while frying your briain.

(I notice you're criticizing taste without offering your own.) I've never heard Alice Donut- can you describe them? Crazy, heavy, psychedelic punk. Their site at their record label is here. I would recommend starting with Untidy Suicides... or Revenge Fantasies of the Impotent.
