Guest Anglesault Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 Well, As we all, know, over the last couple of weeks, Angle has been made Edge's bitch over and over again and Jericho has had to cheat to beat Mark Henry and Faarooq. They were OBVIOUSLY being punished for something who the hell knows what, but it looked like it was over. Until this weeks SD taping. Hardcore Holly eliminates Angle from the battle royale, and procedes to kick Angle's ass all over the show, until Angle cheated to beat the "revered" hardcore legend, at which point, Holly continues his ass kicking of Angle. Jericho, on the other hand, has been entered in the KotR, the mark of the midcard, and got into a fairly even brawl with a one armed man until he used weapons, and then got his ass handed to him by VAL VENIS. Bob Holly, Val venis and an injured Edge all being portrayed as better than Angle and Jericho. Have they liked secretly killed a McMahon to get punished like this?

They've been stealing the show from HHH and the other idiots in the main event the last couple month, and a certain big breasted booker has had enough. Jericho in the KOTR wouldn't be too hateful, if he won it (the KOTR should really be below him however). But it looks like he'll be jobbing to Val Venis. After that Jericho probably won't even be on the card (2nd time since 'Mania) and Angle will try and carry that 300 pound sandbag Hogan to a watchable match.

Your first paragraph pretty much says it all. Jericho and Angle are the only ones who can carry Triple H to a good match since he returned and they get rewarded by getting sacrifced time and again at the altar of Stephanie's boyfriend. Isn't it funny how Angle and Jericho are now supposed to help build up midcarders after playing Triple H's two favorite bitches for the last 6 months? If building up midcarders and creating new stars is no big deal, why the hell hasn't Triple H ever put over Angle or Jericho? Maybe IF Triple H had put them over as credible opponents then Edge or Val Venis might have a better chance of getting the rub from Angle/Jericho. Notice how Triple H avoids any feuds with midcarders. He'll do meaningless jobs to them but he won't work with them in an extended basis - unless of course if it's to push a rising star back down the ladder. Test is wrestling on Velocity this week. So what was the point of Test pinning Triple H last week? I think there are some things they could do with Jericho as KOTR that could help rebuild his character and give him back some of the credibility that he lost since Triple H returned. if they gave Jericho the mic time to put over what a big deal winning KOR is (mention that Austin/Rock/Triple H/Angle are all past winners) and how he will use it to get back in the hunt for the title, then I think it could work. But I'm not holding my breath waiting on his coronation ceremony. And I don't even want to think that they might job Angle clean to Hogan.
