They ran out of battery about halfway through, so they pretty much glued his head back in place, got a new battery, and went at it again. But, no, these people aren't terrorists and they aren't arabs. So no racial profiling needed! These people are the real victims, the guys holding the American citizen by the hair and cutting off his goddamned head. We should send some relief aid or something over there, so they can figure out a way to do this again. The real bad guys here are the Americans. Damn us! Damn us to hell for being everything they hate! Well, maybe if they could look up from their beating of women with sticks and stoning women to death for showing too much toe cleavage, they'd realize they're living in a fucking primative environment. Hammurabi's law says an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth...so we should hijack one of their airplanes and crash it into one of their skyscrapers. Oh..wait....they don't have the technology to build anything over three feet off the ground. It's like Jim Breur(Brewer?) said, it's like we're fighting the sand people from Star Wars. What is even worse, is that these barbarians probably think that they are doing a great service for Islam and Allah. Well I got news for you barbarians, I am pretty sure the Koran doesn't say anything about kidnapping a reporter and decapitating him. That is murder, plain and simple. It is really sad that Dan Pearl's baby will grow up father less now because of you. I agree with a lot of what justsoyouknow said. I am basically thinking that this whole area in general, sans Isreal, has some really f'd up people. It's like we are dealing with people still living in the Dark Ages. Now Isreal isn't perfect, but at least they don't have barbarians commiting these heinous crimes. I hope that these barbarians whom are on trial are found guilty and then put to death. And yes, these people are Barbarians. They are ignorant and they are brutal. I don't think I can deal with decapitation. Just curious though...exactly what happens on the tape and how long is it? The one thought that is really scaring me is that we don't know this man, Daniel Pearl, yet we can easily access footage of him being murdered. Imagine how advance the Internet will be with his newborn child is old enough to know & understand what happened. This kid will probably want to see this footage and be traumatized for the rest of his life. As a matter of fact, the only reason why I won't edit the original post to take that link out is because I believe in freedom of speech. The point is, we have been attacked repeatedly in recent years with terrorist actions, and the perpetrators of those actions have always been Arab males of a certain age group. The fact that we refuse to scrutinize such people more closely is stupid. How many more 9/11's do we need to see? I personally never want to see anything like that again, and if a reasonable security measure will help deter it, then I'm all for it. It's baffling that so many people are against it because they're afraid of "offending" someone. Grow the fuck up. LIVES are at stake, and if people want to get offended over it, too damn bad.
