Kelly was indicted yesterday for child pornography in which he engaged in some nasty sexual acts on some minors like giving them "Golden Showers" and other stuff as well. And now he's claiming the girl that was on the tape was of age now, when all this stuff broke out he was saying that wasn't him on tape and now he admits it. I believe he's guilty thou because he been doing this before like when he married Aaliyah when she was 15 so this doesn't shock me or most people, but I think he'll get off because he's paid off his accusers and now they won't come foward. Even the fact that a grown man would marry a 14 year old minor shows he has got some serious issues. Will this hurt is career? It already has, his album w/ Jay-Z should of been the biggest thing in a long time, but the company refuses to promote it and any and all plans for videos and tours have been dumped. People are burning and trashing his CD's across the country. I hope the dude enjoyed himself because child rapists get a taste of there own medicine when thrown in jail. Like both of you said, he was married to Aaliyah, and people have been coming out for as long as I can remember saying he's been messing with young girls. I didn't hear that he changed his story about the girl in the tape, but if he did he's a fucking dip. As for will it hurt his career...yeah, just look at Michael Jackson. I from Chicago so its a big thing on should radio stations play his music or not since there was a big protest at the WGCI 107 building telling them not to play his shit and most them are playing his shit accept B96 so locally he still getting support they're going by "Innocent until proving guilty" approach. My odds are that he cops to some sort of plea on a lesser charge, and maybe gets some probation. He'll walk. He's famous! Famous people almost ALWAYS walk. It'll hurt his career (already has begun to), but I'm not entirely sure that the damage will be irrepairable. People have short memories; a few years from now, all of this could be forgotten. There is a difference between Kelly and Jackson here, MJ was able to still be somewhat successful and respected because of his enormous legancy, R. Kelly was never considered the king of anything. However, Puff Daddy(diddy) career might have helped from his trial but there is tha difference there, that was for a shooting, not a Sexual video with a 14 year old female. Will he walk? No. The jury and court won't allow that to happen since they got video evidence and alot of things have pointed to him. Most likely, he'll get a shortened sentence, instead of 10-15, it'll be 7-10. The music business is far more fickle than Hollywood (believe it or not). And unlike Michael Jackson, Kelly will be found guilty of this. How could he not? From what I heard, it was good, but record companies wouldn't promote it strongly, most likely due to the little boy accusations. I like Kelly's music, and this situation won't make me stop listening to his stuff, but whatever happens, the man brought it on himself. BTW...has anybody seen the tape? I'm just curious to whether or not it looks like him and if he actually knew that the tape was in the room (because anybody to knowingly tape himself having sex with a minor is...like I said yesterday, a fucking dip). Guest ant_7000 Report post Posted June 8, 2002 They were actually selling the porn tape at Tower records store in Chicago the tape is called Bump and Grind, they just pulled it off the shelves yesterday, and the tape is bootleged everywhere but I haven't seen it yet. But some of my mom's co-workers got or seen the tape and they said that its definitely him and girls on there are ugly as fuck, and one of the girls on the tape is the niece of Kelly's former protiege Sparkle in which Kelly and Sparkle did a hit song together.
