Guest Report post Posted June 7, 2002 Tajiri has come along way in WWF(e) He is unique as both a wrestler and segment worker doing comedy. He got great skill which born out of Japanese IWA and ECW wrestling but the Segment work, aside from some light work he did in ECW, Tajiri the Character side really blossoming in WWF. I think he gonna be a longterm player in the WWF. Haku Mania Running WILD!!!!!
Guest justcoz Report post Posted June 7, 2002 I agree. Tajiri could be a HUGE character in the WWE if they gave him the opportunity. His character as proven back in the Regal days and with tonight's skit can just do so much beyond being a undercard cruiserweight. I think Heyman realizes this too... Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted June 7, 2002 TAJIRI: I'm rooking for Maven NURSE: Does he have a last name? TAJIRI: No rast name! Just Maven! Guest Report post Posted June 7, 2002 Tajiri was definately the brightest spot on tonights show he's entertaining as hell in and out of the ring. He made it much more enjoyable then it would have been otherwise, can't say that for many other wrestlers these days.
Guest Report post Posted June 7, 2002 Hilarious stuff from the Buzzsaw. His segments felt like they were straight out of a cartoon.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted June 7, 2002 I agree. Tajiri could be a HUGE character in the WWE if they gave him the opportunity. Very true... but let's see where the WWE takes this.
Guest Redhawk Report post Posted June 7, 2002 I agree. Tajiri could be a HUGE character in the WWE if they gave him the opportunity. Very true... but let's see where the WWE takes this. Probably straight to Hell. You know Tajiri is never going to get past "mid-card jobber" status. For one, he's a cruiserweight. And second, he's not American. He is entertaining, but they'll never push him past that comedy mid-card level.
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted June 7, 2002 I'm not surprised that Tajiri was entertaining, but I was impressed that Maven didn't ruin the segment and actually sold his injury thing pretty well. Maybe there's hope for the guy after all...
Guest Risk Report post Posted June 7, 2002 Maybe there's hope for the guy after all... Yes. If he stayed in HWA for two years.

Guest justcoz Report post Posted June 7, 2002 They more than likely won't push him past mid card status and it's ashame. There is finally a Japanese wrestler who has a knack for the U.S. style of sports entertainment. Someone who is capable of putting on good out of the ring segments with great workrate and an interesting style inside the ring. I even believe there is a cross over appeal to this guy. HE'S FUNNY!!!! I could easily see him on television or with small entertaining roles in movies. But why would WWE want to push a wrestler with all of these ingredients and why would they want to make a lowly cruiserweight a superstar???
Guest oldschoolwrestling Report post Posted June 7, 2002 His facial expressions had me cracking up. I miss him with William Regal.

The WWE may have a true competitor. Taijiri is the best worker in the WWE today period and is being denied his rewards because of institutionalized bias. snowfan

Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted June 7, 2002 It seems unanimous that everyone on the smarksboard(including myself) seems to enjoy Tajiri in and outside of the wrestling ring, which leads me to believe that there is only one thing now for Vince to do, BURY HIM.....Heyman, please don't let it happen~! Guest Army Eye Report post Posted June 7, 2002 His facial expressions had me cracking up. I miss him with William Regal. No doubt. Even Regal would've been proud of the faces Tajiri was making when the hospital staffer was going on and on about how great Maven was. His face has an incredible workrate
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted June 7, 2002 i miss tajiri and regal too. sadly they are on different shows now so there is no chance of a reunion.
Guest Report post Posted June 8, 2002 Tajiri was one of the more entertaining parts of smackdown, but I found that the segments didn't make much sense. I mean, the nurse knows exactly who Maven is and that he won TE1, but has no idea who Tajiri and Torrie are. Hello? WWE? It's me, logic. I'd like to come back now.
