COLE
Coach, we've arrived at the match that tag team wrestling fans have been awaiting for weeks.  It's time for the final match of the Tag Team World Cup!  Let's send it one more time, over to Tony Schiavone and Jesse "the Body" Ventura!

*Camera pans to Tony and Jesse.*

TONY
Thank you, Michael!  Well Jess...it's time.

JESSE
Yes indeed, Tony Schiavone, it is time!  I'm pumped up!  We've been awaiting this match for weeks!  Ever since this thing started, the controversial decision to award the Canadians the #1 seed has been the hot story on the tag team scene!  They've heard it all from American fans, but they've shown their worth thus far!  Both of these teams have something to prove here tonight!

Pantera climbs into the ring and waves, then both teams move to the center of the ring.  Benjamin bounces up and down as the referee gives the instructions, then both teams retreat to their corners.

JESSE
No handshakes this time around, this is going to be a heated match!

TONY
You can feel the electricity in this crowd, they're expecting a classic, as are we.

*DING DING DING*

JESSE
Here we go!

TONY
It's going to be Felix Strutter and Charlie Moss, starting things off!

Strutter reaches in for a leg trip, but Moss scoots out of the way.  After a couple circles, Strutter ducks in and takes Moss down with a double leg trip!  Moss quickly gets to the ropes, and the hold is broken.

JESSE
And a nice amateur move to start things off by Felix Strutter!

TONY
Strutter a great amateur, as is everyone in this matchup, but more known in Canada for his success in relay racing.  Pantera is an accomplished powerlifter in addition to his amateur background.

JESSE
Well, he put that speed on display right there, Moss totally unprepared for that move!  That normally doesn't happen with these guys!

Moss and Strutter measure each other once again.  They tie up, and Moss takes down Strutter with a fireman's carry.  Moss grabs a rear waistlock, but Strutter is able to reach the ropes.

TONY
And Moss, of course, a four-time NCAA champion at Purdue University as a heavyweight.  His partner, Quentin Benjamin, was an Oregon Duck, winning four Pac-10 titles and three NCAA titles in the 197-pound class.  They met in 2003 at the World Championships, where both were crowned championships of their respective weight classes.

Moss breaks clean, and they circle the ring once more.  Strutter moves in, and takes down Moss with a single-leg, following up with a step-over toehold.  Moss attempts to grab the leg, but Strutter smacks his hands away.  Moss manages to spin around on his back, and grab Strutter's leg!  Moss attempts to get to his feet, but Strutter catches him in a front facelock, then changes it to a side headlock.  Moss pushes Strutter into the ropes, then shoulderchecks him to the mat.  Strutter flips over, as Moss goes to the ropes.  Moss hops over Strutter, who pops up and does a jumping double spinkick, faking Moss out, then springing right back up and drilling Moss with a dropkick, sending him rolling out to the floor!

TONY
Tremendous speed and agility by Felix Strutter!

Moss takes a count on the floor, then climbs back in and measures Strutter.  They tieup, and Moss wrings the arm.  Strutter reverses, then backs Moss into the ropes and whips him.  Moss ducks a clothesline, and executes a reverse sunset flip!

Kickout!

Moss catches a charging Strutter with an armdrag.  Moss forces Strutter off the mat, then tags in Quentin Benjamin.

TONY
First tag of the match, and Quentin Benjamin in now!

Benjamin takes over on the arm, wringing it, then barring it.  Strutter manages to get loose, and takes Benjamin down with a drop toehold, holding him down long enough to tag in Pantera.

JESSE
And Strutter wasting no time in making a tag of his own, to Ken Pantera!

Pantera and Benjamin look each other up and down, as the crowd begins the chant:

U-S-A!

U-S-A!

U-S-A!

U-S-A!

JESSE
And the chants of USA, ringing out once again from the crowd in Miami!

They tie up, and Pantera goes behind, then takes Benjamin in the air and down with a rear waistlock.  Benjamin quickly reverses to one of his own, but Pantera quickly slips out.  Both men slip around in attempt to gain position, before both getting off the mat and backing off.  They tie up once again, with Pantera wringing the arm.  Pantera backs Benjamin into the ropes and whips him across.  Benjamin ducks a clothesline, then attempts a flying bodypress, but Pantera catches him and walks around the ring with him, before delivering a backbreaker.

TONY
And the power of Pantera coming into play now, Benjamin hurting!

Pantera picks up Benjamin, and delivers a gutwrench suplex, then covers...

Kickout!

Pantera grabs a side headlock on the mat, and lays back for a pin...

...but Benjamin BRIDGES OUT~!

JESSE
Whoa!

Benjamin catches Pantera with a spinkick, then covers...

Kickout with authority!

TONY
And again, that power being shown!

Benjamin charges at Pantera, who goes for a slam, but Benjamin goes behind the back and delivers a German suplex!

Kickout!

JESSE
And they're going for falls early and often!

TONY
Great suplex that time by Quentin Benjamin!

Benjamin runs to the ropes, and goes for an elbowdrop, but Pantera moves, and Benjamin finds nobody home!  Pantera quickly tags Strutter, who whips Benjamin into the ropes.  Strutter drops down, and Benjamin hops over, then ducks a clothesline, then catches Strutter with a spinning wheel kick!

TONY
And another great kick, as well!

Strutter bridges up, and spins around.  Benjamin attempts a backdrop, but Strutter lands on his feet!  Strutter then drills Benjamin with a bridging TIGER SUPLEX~!

Kickout!

Benjamin lands by his corner, and makes a tag, and Strutter does the same.  The crowd cheers in appreciation, but as Moss and Pantera circle the ring, chant once again:

U-S-A!

U-S-A!

U-S-A!

U-S-A!

Pantera goes in and wrings the arm, then bars it.  Moss goes in and picks up Pantera, slamming him to the mat...but Pantera rolls through and keeps the armbar!

JESSE
Wow, did you see that, Schiavone?  Pantera absorbed that bodyslam, rolled through, and maintained his hold on the arm of Charlie Moss!

Pantera then switches to a reverse half nelson, and forces Moss to the mat...

1...

2...

Shoulder up!

Moss works his way up to his feet, then backs Pantera into the ropes.  He whips Pantera across, and after Pantera ducks a clothesline, drives a knee into the midsection!

TONY
Well-placed knee by Moss there, Pantera may have the wind knocked out of him!

Moss picks up Pantera, and delivers a vertical suplex!  Moss then goes into the ropes, and attempts a kneedrop, but Pantera rolls out of the way!  He then grabs the arm once again.

JESSE
Nobody home, and right back to the arm goes Ken Pantera!  Smart on his part!

Pantera then picks Moss up overhead for a PRESS SLAM~!, but Moss struggles and drops back to the mat, then shoves Pantera into the ropes from behind, catching him on the way back with a SUPERKICK~!  Cover...

2...

Kickout!

Moss picks up Pantera, and delivers a DDT!  Moss then signals for the end!

JESSE
Could be time for the MOSSY KNOLL~!!!

The crowd goes crazy as Moss grabs the legs and starts to turn him over, but Pantera senses what's going on, and quickly gets to the ropes.  Moss pulls him out, then drives an elbow into the sternum.  Moss then picks up Pantera and delivers a back suplex, and goes to the second rope.  Moss jumps off, but Pantera gets a foot up!  Moss goes to the mat holding his jaw, as Pantera tags out to Strutter!

TONY
Tag made and Felix Strutter in there!

Strutter goes to the top rope, waiting for Moss to get to his feet...and comes off with a HURRICANRANA, flipping back and hooking the legs for a pin!

1...

2...

NO!  Moss kicks out!

JESSE
WOW, was that close!  What a move off that top rope by Felix Strutter!

Strutter follows up with a Northern Lights suplex!

1...

2...

Kickout!

Strutter then picks up Moss near the ropes, and sets up a double-arm DDT!  However, Moss blocks, then slips loose, and delivers an OVERHEAD BELLY-TO-BELLY OVER THE TOP TO THE FLOOR~!

TONY
OH MY GOODNESS!

JESSE
Wow, Strutter sent all the way to the floor with that suplex!

Moss catches his breath, then goes to the outside and tosses Strutter back in.  Moss rolls in behind and tags in Benjamin, who goes to the top rope...and comes off with a BULLDOG~!

TONY
That could do it right there!

1...

2...

NO!!!  Strutter gets the shoulder up!

Benjamin picks up Strutter, then whips him into the ropes, and catches him with a belly-to-belly overhead!  Cover...

2...

Shoulder up!

JESSE
Right on the back of his head on that move!

Benjamin whips Strutter into the ropes, and attempts a dropkick, but Strutter hooks the ropes, and Benjamin crashes into the mat!

TONY
And Benjamin knows how that feels now!

Pantera tags in, and lifts Benjamin in the air, slamming him down with a PRESS SLAM~!  Pantera tags in Strutter once again, and Strutter double-underhooks Benjamin, then lifts him, and plants him with the THUNDER BAY THROTTLE~!!!111

TONY

NO!!!  Benjamin gets his foot on the rope!

Strutter whips Benjamin into the ropes, and attempts a tilt-a-whirl, but Benjamin lands on his feet, then scoops up Strutter and plants him with a TOMBSTONE~!

NO!!! Shoulder up!

Benjamin slowly rolls over and tags Moss, who shakes the cobwebs out of Benjamin.  Moss then goes to the ropes, as Benjamin assists him in the DOUBLE GOOZLE~!

TONY
And the DOUBLE GOOZLE~! by America's team!

Pantera charges in to attack Benjamin as Moss covers, with no referee.  Benjamin rolls out, as the referee forces Pantera out.  Moss hops up and knocks Pantera through the ropes from behind, then starts to apply the MOSSY KNOLL~!!!

JESSE
Here it comes!  This'll be it, right here!

However, Strutter gets one foot free, using it to trip Moss forward, then swing around and apply the STF~!!!

TONY
OH MY GOD, what a counter!

JESSE
He countered it, I can't believe it!

TONY
And it's right in the middle of the ring!

Strutter screams as he cranks back, with Moss having no success trying to move to the ropes.  Finally, Benjamin rolls in and breaks up the hold.  Pantera sneaks in and applies the FULL NELSON~!!! to Moss!

JESSE
Full nelson!

TONY
The primary submission move of Ken Pantera, but he's not the legal man!  It's still Charlie Moss and Felix Strutter!

Moss fades fast, but Benjamin saves with a superkick to the back of the head of Pantera!  Pantera goes down, and Benjamin steps out in time for Moss to tag him right back in.  Moss then picks up Strutter on his shoulders, as the crowd goes CRAZY~!

JESSE
Here it is!  This will do it for sure if it connects!

However, as Benjamin leaps, Strutter rolls forward for a victory roll, and Benjamin goes flying over!  The referee breaks the hold up, as Moss is not the legal man.

TONY
It's mayhem in there right now!

JESSE
Look at this!

Rick Heyross has gotten onto the apron and begun arguing with the referee!  Strutter dropkicks Moss to the floor, then, as Benjamin staggers to his feet, Pantera SHOVES HIM INTO HEYROSS!

JESSE
Whoa!

TONY
And a collision on the apron!

Pantera sends a foot to the gut of Benjamin, and Strutter joins him, as they execute the PENALTY BOX~!!!111  Strutter then goes to the top rope, gains his balance...and comes off with the SHOOTING STAR LEGDROP~!!!111  Cover...

*DING DING DING*

TONY
A THREE COUNT!  The Canadians have won it!

The crowd delivers a mixed reaction of mostly boos, as the referee raises the hands of the Canadians.

JESSE
I wouldn't have believed it, Tony!

TONY
Let's get the official word!

BUFFER
The winners of the match...and the CHAMPIONS of the Tag Team World Cup...TEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAA
AAAAAAAAAAMMMMMM CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNADAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

Fireworks go off in the arena, and red-and-white confetti comes down from the ceiling, as Rick Heyross is halfway to the dressing room.  Quentin Benjamin is seen yelling something to Heyross as he follows him down the aisle, along with Charlie Moss.  The crowd cheers as they walk back down the aisle, and start the chant up once again for them.

U-S-A!

U-S-A!

U-S-A!

U-S-A!

Meanwhile, the trophy presentation is being set up in the ring, as Strutter and Pantera drape themselves in Canadian flags.

TONY
Well, a tremendous tag team match, Team Heyross was at their absolute best, but in the end, the Canadian team certainly proved  that the tournament committee made the right choice making them the #1 seed.  Right now, let's go up to "Mean" Gene Okerlund for the trophy presentation!

OKERLUND (in ring)
All right, thank you, Tony Schiavone!  A tremendous tag team tournament has come to a close, 32 teams began, and now, one remains!  Congratulations to Ken Pantera and Felix Strutter, Team Canada, you are the best tag team in the WORLD!

*Most of the crowd is booing, as Felix Strutter is handed the mic.*

STRUTTER
Thanks, Mean Gene.  We knew all along we'd be standing here right now, but we wanted to prove it to everyone else in the world.  No one thought we'd beat the American team, thought they should have had our spot, but we proved them all wrong.  Now everyone knows who is the best team in the world.

*crowd boos*

PANTERA
That's right, Felix.  Adversity has always brought the best out of us, and we've dealt with more of it over the last month than any two wrestlers in the world.  And this is the end result...everyone may as well get used to it.

*crowd boos once again, as Pantera and Strutter grab the trophy and raise it in the air.*

OKERLUND
Well, they've said it all, folks.  As another wave of confetti comes down from the ceiling, that's it from me, let's go back down to Tony!

TONY
Thank you, Gene...what lies ahead for these two teams, Jess?

JESSE
Well, Tony, obviously the Canadian team has gained the attention of the OAOAST brass, those guys in the front offices are going to make a hard push for them.  I think the turning point in this match was when Rick Heyross jumped onto the apron, and Quentin Benjamin collided with him.  That match could have gone either way up to that point.

TONY
And as we saw, Quentin Benjamin extremely upset after the match.

JESSE
But you still have to give the Canadians credit, of course, they matched Team Heyross hold-for-hold throughout this whole match, but as is usually the case, one miscalculation led to the end.

TONY
It was an excellent tournament, congratulations once again to Felix Strutter and Ken Pantera, the winners of the Tag Team World Cup!  For Jesse "the Body" Ventura and "Mean" Gene Okerlund, I'm Tony Schiavone!  Let's go back to...
