Guest art_vandelay Report post Posted June 7, 2002 Do any of you guys ever get annoyed by the sports ticker at the bottom of the screen on that channel? Do you find SmackDown! to be more insignificant than Raw because it feels like you're watching inside a closed space? Does it ever feel like you're watching CNBC rather than WWE? If you don't, then please ignore the rest of this post. But if you do, then now's your chance to do something about it. I've created an online-petition to The Score, kindly asking them to remove their trademark "ticker" during WWE programming broadcasts. I realize I may be being a bit obsessive here, but everytime I switch to that channel on Thursday and sometimes Saturdays and Sundays, I always get peeved by that thing and have wanted to do something about it for a very long time. I know "online-petition" doesn't sound like much, but it's better than just a letter or anything else I could come up with. Also because signing on the internet takes no effort at all, even my mom can do it. Is my mother more technologically-proficient than you? Do you dare challenge my mother? Well my mom says, "Bring it on, bitch!" Statement & Petition
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Report post Posted June 7, 2002 I love the ticker, I like to keep up to date on what's going on, and if the show gets boring I can check the days baseball stats while waiting for something better to happen. If you don't like it you can just watch Smackdown on UPN.
Guest C-Bacon Report post Posted June 7, 2002 i think we should be grateful that a canadian station is picking up smackdown! at all, especially since they;re actual sports stations that are picking them up.
Guest DEEP THOUGHT Report post Posted June 7, 2002 I don't mind it at all. The space it takes up is very minimal, and it's easy to ignore when you want to. Remember the permise behind the channel is that they deliver sports scores and information 24 hours a day -- even during the commercials, as the sports ticker remains on screen...I can't think of another network that does that.
