Guest Report post Posted June 7, 2002 We've seen the Green Goblin, and any real spidey fan KNOWS that Harry Osbourne takes after his fathers role as the Goblin out of revenge for Spider-man 'murdering' his father. It seems likely that the Goblin will return in Spidey 2, however i would also like to see Venom at one stage, he is PURE evil yet innocent at the same time, much like Norman Osbourne was towards the Goblin inside of him. Although, there are many other Spidey-Rivals out there, such as Electro, Vulture and Dr. Octopus. Who would you like to see Spider-Man clash with in the next movie? Agreed, Spidey & The Green Goblin ( who is so sinister its cool ) all had stunt doubles to work with, and im sure that finding someone to fill in for the 'Venom' side of Eddie Brock wouldn't be too hard. Venom should also be a factor since Parker "scooped" him with better Spider-Man photos in the first film. I don't think they will make a whole movie based on Harry Osbourne getting revenge on spidey but i do think he will show up in one of the future movies. I also heard that the villians may be Doc Ock and Lizard, but i hope they don't go the Batman route with more then one main villian. I knew The Lizard would be a part of a sequel in part one, when Harry asks why Peter is home so early, and he says that "Dr. Connors fired me from the assignment." Hardcore comic buffs like myself know that Curt Connors is the man who becomes The Lizard. I could see them introducing Felicia Hardy (the 90's cartoon version) into the story, but not her alter ego the Black Cat. Well, they did mention "Brock" in the movie, but never showed him - similar to the "Dr. Connors" reference, this is a surefire indication that they want to use Venom in a future sequel. Again, the origin would have to be similar to the 90's cartoon, and realistically you couldn't do the entire alien costume/Venom thing all in one go. Best scenario I could think of is that the alien costume is introduced in Spidey 3 and Peter's struggles with the costume somewhat parallels Harry's descent into madness and his becoming the Green Goblin. I think that Hobgoblin (Orange Goblin, I thought of hogan at first to brother) will be the main villian because it makes sense. The Lizard could also be used but I dont think so. Carnage would be awesome, but they would have to cast someone exceptionally talented to play the twisted charecter of Carnage's alter ego. Someone with the talents of say..Jack Nicholson who played Joker in Batman. I thought Jack made Joker one fuckin' wicked guy and sent kids running from the circus for months. I'm not quite sure who could play it, but if they cast the right actor it would be a phenominal movie. Just my opinion, but Mysterio always seemed dumb (except for when Kevin Smith made him the villain in the Daredevil series that he wrote.
