ECW's next PPV 'December To Dismember'

Recommended Posts

EC goes all of 23 minutes, which is a total rip-off considering the final pod didn't open until 20 minutes into the match. So Big Show got beat in 3 minutes by a tired Lashley??

What a joke.

The Big Show probably refused to work very long or take any sort of major spot seeing as all that gets talked about now is how fucked up he is.

You'd think he'd want to do the opposite to prove everyone wrong.

My free stream just changed from the PPV "stand by for the replay" screen to hardcore porn.

She wasn't the only one getting screwed tonight.

I am amazed. Simply amazed that WWE expect people to accept this as "all fine and dandy." It's hard to explain how amazed i am, i'm amazed to the point where i don't know how to react. it's like if you got on a bus and the driver just spits in your face or you go to see your grandma and she just squats over the carpet and shits right there... that kind of amazed.

Why put on an effort when you don't need to? He IS a Hogan disciple, afterall.

The WWE will basically say only 1.7 in the ratings for ECW so if the show did a 1 they'll probably be happy.......

EC tends to have the over and popular guy go first. I believe Benoit and RVD did this as well.

Pretty much. They usually take out the most over guy, and/or best wrestler in the match within the first 3 eliminations. You know... it's really bad when the best booked Chamber match so far has been the Goldberg one.

ECW: It's like grandma shitting the carpet.

I just finished watching the free stream video and I feel violated. I'm angry and speechless, a bad ECW house show from 2000 was more entertaining than this crap tonight.

Violated? Did the PPV touch you in your private areas?

If broken down Show was in so much pain then why didn't he get eliminated first instead of the hottest newcomer in CM Punk? Then the should've booked RVD/Lashley for the ending of EEC with Blackberg turning heel since the crowd was shitting on him to begin with.

Half the time I think these are more for them to show everyone where all these guys places on the card are than really putting anyone over.......they took Punk Holly and RVD out as the first 3......saying "Punk isn't on these guys level right now, Holly isn't either and RVD is moving back"

They basically show everyone Lashley and Test are the top 2 guys on the card with Big Show leaving.

Then you'd have just gotten Test/Lashley at the end.......They'd probably rather put a first time winner over the champion instead of letting someone else have the pin on him.

"This is TWO straight PPV's they booked horribly"

Relax, you're going a but overboard lately with the smarky "I know it all, I think I'm in the business" jargon. This thread especially.

What are you talking about? You've been talking "smarky" this whole thread.

I agree, have Big Show eliminated early and then you could really build to a cresendo with RVD, Punk and Lashley and in the process could have added on another 10 minutes to the match.

They aren't going to finish a match with 3 faces.....especially when they want to push Test and Vince is pissed at RVD.......

They probably are putting Punk in his place saying "you aren't a maineventer yet don't get these crowds go to your head".

Are you flirting with me?

Damn, we all had to suffer through Big Show's long ass title reign and Lashley winning is the big payoff.

Well, it was either going to be Lashley or Bob Sapp (Meltzer said since they could not come to an agreement with Sapp, Lashley was going to do everything they had planned for Sapp). As green as Lashley is, he can be carried. Sapp is robotic in the ring from what little I have seen. A carry job by anyone, especially in ECW, would seem to be impossible.

Personally, everyone says Show is a great guy. I think his health is in serious trouble. His weight, the fact that he smokes and his eating habits all need to change. He can do the one program with Hogan, and hopefully then just retire and get some help.

Sapp can be carried and has more than enough charisma to compensate. He certainly has more charisma than anyone in WWE.

No. It was basically "Look, you weren't supposed to be this over, not yet. We've been shoving this guy down these people's throat's for months and we're riding this one as long as it gets us. Do your pretty poses, catch your pop and eat this job, rook".

WWE blew it with Sapp. So what he wanted to work shoots in Japan, that isn't going to damage your HOME base. Instead, they were left with a 3rd rate Sapp, 2nd rate Monty Brown.

I dont wanna be spoiled, so I have not read thru the thread. Is the PPV worthy of a buy for the re-play? Thinking of buying the next showing.

All opinions welcomed

No. No. No. No. No.

NO

You had to see it live. It's not the same.

What went wrong with the Sapp deal? It sounded like a formality and then it never happened.

He wanted to do WWE and PRIDE, figuring his PRIDE fights would give him a legit aura and his WWE work would get his name out. WWE wanted him all to themselves, so he passed on the deal.
