Guest Posted June 7, 2002 Report Posted June 7, 2002 I'm totally crazy about the Vanessa Carlton cd...but somehow it's just not cool to jam "A Thousand Miles" with the windows rolled down singing along. Great Stuff.
Guest converge241 Posted June 7, 2002 Report Posted June 7, 2002 wwops edit due to post in wrong thread my guilty pleasure is all hair-metal/cheese metal
Guest Posted June 7, 2002 Report Posted June 7, 2002 I've been in conversations about this before, and I gotta say I have no guilty pleasures outside of wrestling and the occasional movie. Every band/album I like I can defend without shame.
Guest dreamer420 Posted June 7, 2002 Report Posted June 7, 2002 I love Britney Spears. I don't know why and it is something I can't control so I just go with it.
Guest treble charged Posted June 7, 2002 Report Posted June 7, 2002 Forr some reason, I love both of Wave's first two singles (California, Think it Over). I don't know why, but I just do.
Guest Posted June 7, 2002 Report Posted June 7, 2002 I'm gonna have to go with Converge on this one. I'm a sucker for hair metal, especially Manowar and Hammerfall. The Gods Made Heavy Metal is one of the funniest songs I've ever heard.
Guest dreamer420 Posted June 7, 2002 Report Posted June 7, 2002 Canadian boy band, Dreamer. hmm, never heard of them. they must be pretty new.
Guest Mark4steamboat Posted June 7, 2002 Report Posted June 7, 2002 I love 80s music period. Hell i saw poison two weeks ago.
Guest BobbyBacklund Posted June 7, 2002 Report Posted June 7, 2002 For some strange reason I really like the new Enrique Iglesias song, although it's not really a "guilty" pleasure.
Guest Mark4steamboat Posted June 7, 2002 Report Posted June 7, 2002 i liked Escape by him... i dont know why. kinda catchy.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted June 7, 2002 Report Posted June 7, 2002 Enrique Iglesias - "Balamos" Linkin Park - "In The End" Linkin Park - "Crawling" Oh yes...and all Motley Crue. I find it kind of funny how I'll listen to Slayer, Shadows Fall, Beyond The Embrace, Triton, and Iced Earth...and then I'll play "Shout At The Devil" and "Kick Start My Heart." Oh yes...and I absolutely love Everclear.
Guest treble charged Posted June 7, 2002 Report Posted June 7, 2002 Canadian boy band, Dreamer. hmm, never heard of them. they must be pretty new. I'd say that they've been around for a little longer than a year. MuchMusic played the fuck out of them for awhile, too.
Guest What?! Posted June 8, 2002 Report Posted June 8, 2002 Britney Spears. The dance stuff. Not into her slow-type songs though. And I liked "Bye Bye Bye" by 'NSYNC. I mean, too many people worked on that song to be a big hit and it got over with me.
Guest raptor Posted June 8, 2002 Report Posted June 8, 2002 I'm totally crazy about the Vanessa Carlton cd...but somehow it's just not cool to jam "A Thousand Miles" with the windows rolled down singing along. Great Stuff. I haven't heard the whole album, but I have an mp3 of that song... surprisingly, it doesn't suck. Also, I think No Doubt and Kelly Osbourne count as guilty pleasures, and then there's the fact that I own every Barenaked Ladies album...
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted June 8, 2002 Report Posted June 8, 2002 Canadian boy band, Dreamer. hmm, never heard of them. they must be pretty new. I'd say that they've been around for a little longer than a year. MuchMusic played the fuck out of them for awhile, too. yeah. last summer. they fucking suck. guilty pleasure? American Psycho by Treble Charger.
Guest shlidgn90 Posted June 8, 2002 Report Posted June 8, 2002 i like the old group snap. they made the legendary song "i got the power"
Guest saturnmark4life Posted June 8, 2002 Report Posted June 8, 2002 I actually kinda like a couple of slipknot songs, and i own the mudvayne album. And i like 'my own worst enemy' by Lit.
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted June 8, 2002 Report Posted June 8, 2002 "This I Promise You" by N'SYNC "Lucky" by Britney Spears "I Want It That Way" by BSB "A Thousand Miles" by Vanessa Carlton I've got a billion others but that's just a snippet.
Guest Shaved Bear Posted June 8, 2002 Report Posted June 8, 2002 i like "Without You" by Eminem, but i doubt i will in 2 weeks
Guest Mark4steamboat Posted June 9, 2002 Report Posted June 9, 2002 you mean Without Me. i like "Wait and bleed" by slipknot.
Guest TheyCallMeMark Posted June 9, 2002 Report Posted June 9, 2002 Would liking Default be considered not good? I am buying that album. I can defend myself though. That guy as the single... uhh... prettiest voice I have ever heard a male in a rock band sing with and still seem pretty manly at the same time. They're cool live, too.
Guest treble charged Posted June 9, 2002 Report Posted June 9, 2002 I have The Fallout and am not ashamed of it.
Guest Posted June 9, 2002 Report Posted June 9, 2002 "Stronger" by Britney Spears There's nothing wrong with hair metal, I like Skid Row.
Guest C-Bacon Posted June 9, 2002 Report Posted June 9, 2002 Forr some reason, I love both of Wave's first two singles (California, Think it Over). I don't know why, but I just do. yup, i liked them so much that i bought the album! it;s actually quite good. and i wouldn't exactly a 'boy band'. thier more like a pop-rock duet group. other guilty pleasures: Avril Lavigne
Guest evenflowDDT Posted June 9, 2002 Report Posted June 9, 2002 Oh yes...and I absolutely love Everclear. How is Everclear a guilty pleasure? They're a really solid band that caught on for a few years and disappeared. How does that make them "bad" in the traditional sense that listening to them constitutes a guilty pleasure? Hmmmm.... Anyway, as for a "real" guilty pleasure, because I haven't pissed anyone off today, Def Leppard. Yea, that's right Kinetic, DEF F'IN LEPPARD!!! "Photograph... I don't want your... PHOTOGRAPH... I don't NEED your..." ::claps his hands, and a mysterious individual arrives to provide EVIL LAUGHTER~!:: Actually '80s music rocks, period. Duran Duran, A Flock of Seagulls, punk that didn't suck, Public Enemy, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Madonna, Tiffany... the list goes on and on... and nobody ever admits to liking it anymore. Why is that? Hell, even A-Ha r0x0rs my s0x0rs!
Guest Mark4steamboat Posted June 9, 2002 Report Posted June 9, 2002 Everclear had "AM Radio" and that other song out last year or the year before and last i heard, they were doing another album. Default has a great cd and the singer has an extremely powerful voice(just listen to Wasting my time...he is tremendous in that song)
Guest Posted June 10, 2002 Report Posted June 10, 2002 I defend all of my likes, because having diverse taste allows me to mould with anyone. Learn to EMBRACE THE POP~! Hmm, that's like a neat catchphrase for the Music board. It'll be a MUSIC BOARD EXCLUSIVE!
