Guest KANE Posted June 10, 2002 Report Posted June 10, 2002 Andrew W.K. It's embarassing to love his CD, but I do!
Guest Posted June 11, 2002 Report Posted June 11, 2002 Okay, maybe Phil Collins isn't so easy to defend.
Guest Posted June 11, 2002 Report Posted June 11, 2002 Andrew W.K. It's embarassing to love his CD, but I do! I don't think it is embrassing to love I Get Wet. I'm quite fond of it myself. Andrew W.K. sincerely wants to make rockin' party music, and without all that detached, ironic, hip bullshit that so many employ these days. Bravo to him, I say.

I didnt like "Party Hard" but "she is beautiful" was reason enough for me to buy his album and it rocks. He is a true rocker without all the fixed hair and shit. I am really into him now.
Guest Prime Time Andrew Doyle Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 Bye Bye Bye- N'Sync Its Gonna Be Me-N'Sync Oop's I Did It Again-Britney Spears Its feels so good to get it off ym chest, Except if any of my friends saw this they would carstrate me and than stuff my balls down my mouth. Well maybe not that far, maybe just a punch or two
Guest dreamer420 Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 i like neil diamond too. sweet caroline is one terrific song I tell ya.
Guest godthedog Posted June 16, 2002 Report Posted June 16, 2002 i got you all beat: back when i was eight, my aunt made me into a fan of barry fucking manilow, and i used to play his greatest hits tapes all the time. one time i actually told one of my friends, word-for-word, "hey, let's go rock and listen to barry manilow!" i discovered rock music and developed my own taste eventually but i still get a kick out of hearing him occasionally, although not enough to actually buy one of his cds. i still know most of the words to 'copacabana', 'even now', and 'mandy'.

Guest Posted June 17, 2002 Report Posted June 17, 2002 Michelle Branch Hey she is kind of hot too so. The Calling I dont know why but nSyNC Yeah some of their songs are ...... good Vanessa Carilton the song is catchy damnit!
Guest LooseCannon Posted June 17, 2002 Report Posted June 17, 2002 Some people might not find this embarassing, but I'm usually pretty embarassed to friends when I admit I like Marilyn Manson.
Guest Posted June 17, 2002 Report Posted June 17, 2002 I have you all beat, I own BOTH spice girls cd's. Top that --Rob
Guest MaxPower27 Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 I like Nickelback's "too bad" just because it's kind of autobiographical about me and my dad. I actually own Nickelback's "The State" tape. Default's new song, "Deny" sounds alot like Staind's "It's Been Awhile" but I like it. I like The Police, Sting, Don Henley, Billy Joel, The Eagles, Clapton, Zepplin (only once in a while), Michelle Branch, Guns N' Roses, Vanessa Carlton, Candlebox, and Puddle of Mud I usually listen to Alice in Chains, Metallica, and Reveille, but we all have guilty pleasures...
Guest Anubis Puppet Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 I burned the Very Best of Supertramp and listen to it regularly.
Guest M Nyland Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Well...someone beat me to Manilow...dammit! I like the Silver Convention song "Fly Robin Fly"...don't know if that counts...but a band that I just love that not many people do would have to be...uhh... OH YEAH... The Martha Stewart Five! okay...wait...that was a dream I had... actually...I really like: Morris Day & The Time The Jesus & Mary Chain The Shins Europe Elvis Costello & The Attraction Echo & The Bunnymen Modest Mouse (well one or two songs anyway) Yngwie Malmsteen The Cure
Guest Anubis Puppet Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Why would you feel guilty for liking Costello or the Cure? Really, why would you feel guilty for liking Europe? "The Final Countdown" is the greatest song of the past twenty years.
Guest M Nyland Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 well I was just mentioning stuff that I listen to that none of my friends do...I have those "rap and r&b" friends that don't like 80s music at all.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 I'm getting a dangerously high amount of Pop in my blood these days, but I'm not guilty for a moment! You can have your screaming or wailing men, I'll take my Pop goddesses any day! EMBRACE THE POP~! At least until I find something new to obsess over.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 i love Andrew WK too, but have no reason to be ashamed for it, DAMMIT.
Guest KANE Posted June 25, 2002 Report Posted June 25, 2002 Haha, ok, ok, I'm won't be ashamed of AWK. You know, he's great for road trips. You'll pay attention to his CD, instead of space out like when you're listening to other albums.
Guest Perfect Plex Posted June 27, 2002 Report Posted June 27, 2002 Oh yes...and I absolutely love Everclear. How is Everclear a guilty pleasure? They're a really solid band that caught on for a few years and disappeared. How does that make them "bad" in the traditional sense that listening to them constitutes a guilty pleasure? Hmmmm.... Just FYI, everyone in my hometown in Portland, OR is terribly embarassed to have Everclear representing this city. But we feel that way about the Blazers too.
Guest jimmy no nose Posted June 27, 2002 Report Posted June 27, 2002 I like 80s metal too. Poison concert this Saturday!
Guest swan Posted June 27, 2002 Report Posted June 27, 2002 Neil Diamond, I love his stuff. The guy is one bad ass song writer. As is Willie Nelson and The man in black Johnny Cash.
Guest treble charged Posted June 28, 2002 Report Posted June 28, 2002 Default's new song, "Deny" sounds alot like Staind's "It's Been Awhile" but I like it. What the fuck are you smoking? Most of Deny is fast paced, compared to none of It's Been Awhile. I'm listening to those songs right now, and I don't see any resmemblance between the two of them (besides the Dallas Smith's and Aaron Lewis' voices sounding similar at some points).
Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted June 28, 2002 Report Posted June 28, 2002 Vertical Horizon and Avril LaVigne are my G.P.'s.
Guest godthedog Posted June 30, 2002 Report Posted June 30, 2002 got so caught up in the barry manilow thing that i forgot about something else. i wouldn't consider her a guilty pleasure, cause i'm not ashamed of her, but i get a lot of shit from time to time for loving sarah mclachlan. i think 'fumbling towards ecstasy' is the best album of the 90s, & i'll defend it to my dying day.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted July 1, 2002 Report Posted July 1, 2002 What the fuck are you smoking? Most of Deny is fast paced, compared to none of It's Been Awhile. I'm listening to those songs right now, and I don't see any resmemblance between the two of them (besides the Dallas Smith's and Aaron Lewis' voices sounding similar at some points). Nothing at all. Listen to the beginning of the song with the light guitar, it sounds simular to the guitar of "it's Been Awhile". I wasn't talking about the vocals, I simply stated that I thought the songs sounded simular. Calm fucking Down.
Guest treble charged Posted July 1, 2002 Report Posted July 1, 2002 Calm fucking Down. Sorry man, you're a Sens fan, and as a Leaf's fan, I must rip you apart at every turn.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted July 1, 2002 Report Posted July 1, 2002 LOL. That's a low blow. Beat the Leafs!
