Early SummerSlam thoughts

hey i know its a few months away, but its (supposed to be) the 2nd biggest ppv.

 

the way i think the card is going to be:

(im also assuming that they may drop the stips for this particular ppv)

 

Taker - RVD

Hogan - Vince

Kane - Xpac

Benoit- Austin

HHH - Edge

DVon - Bubba (maybe with a Spike and Deacon thrown in)

 

maybe a Booker T/Rock vs NWO (if book is face and Rock makes a return).

 

Its a while away but i couldnt guess how they would use Angle, Jericho, Guerrero.

 

id like to see

 

Jericho (as a face) vs. Flair

Brock vs Big Show (not the best matchup on paper but would be presented well) maybe rhyno subbed in there if he's healthy.

 

a gimmick free time allotted cruiserweight match (preferably between Kidman and Rey Misterio)

The Rock is supposed to be back for a match at SummerSlam. Maybe they'll go with RVD vs. Taker at Vengeance and maybe have Rock come in to do the job to RVD since he seems to be willing to put over people. Or maybe he'll put over Jericho again.

Well I'm not gonna start fantasy booking because it's pointless, but somehow I'd like the IC title to be moved to Smackdown where Orton somehow wins it to pass it on to Storm. I don't know, give me a break, it's just what I'd LIKE to see ;-)

 

And the Dudleys tag title match makes sense, and should happen anyway.

Taking guesses at potential WWE Pay Per View matches is CrAZY. Thinking about matches from week to week is bad enough, let alone 2 months down the road....

 

If I had MY way, Summerslam would involve something along these lines:

Me, being a huge Jerichoholic, might be inclined to agree with you... As well as disagree with you. Jericho was way more over with the crowd as a face than as a heel, hell at some points in time I specifically remember Jericho, not even Rocky or Austin, being the focal point face against all odds... Remember that one RAW a year or two back where he wrestled all those matches in one night? (BEST RAW EVER!) and kept the crowd popping for him like mad the whole time?

 

Jericho was huge as a face, but directionless as a heel. Even with a lesser opponent, he could still get an up-and-coming heel over.. Though at this point in time I'm starting to wish they'd trade Jericho to RAW, and either feud with RVD (as a heel), or with Guerrero (as a face).

 

Just curious to know why you wouldn't want to see Jericho return as a face...
