Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted June 7, 2002 not to sure what to think of that. sounds rather interesting but at the same time I don't want to see a lot of wrestlers outside of the ring..
Guest Risk Report post Posted June 7, 2002 I knew this would happen. Vince will say "to hell with wrestling" in a few years and just make movies. Bet on it. He doesn't really care about wrestling.

Guest Renegade Report post Posted June 7, 2002 Vince said he is going to open up his own movie studio and make movies. He said they will be making movies using various wrestlers as the stars. he'd just bang the divas and sell it as a porn movie, then call it a "buisness decision" or something. Either that or he could make a teen movie with WWE stars.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted June 7, 2002 Either that or he could make a teen movie with WWE starts. but that would be fucking funny
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Report post Posted June 7, 2002 A good business move by Vince. When core business is down, look for alternate revenue streams and diversify yourself so that you arn't caught if things don't turn around. And a venture like this is far less risky than the XFL, because it involves less overhead.
Guest Report post Posted June 7, 2002 I think it is a pretty good move too as long as they don't start spending huge money to make the movies and Vince said they weren't on Byte This. They'll easily make $20 million or more on a movie that has wrestlers in it, so if they spend $3-$5 million making a movie, they'll make huge profits. Guest What?! Report post Posted June 8, 2002 The WWF Writers aren't going to be the ones to write the movies are they? Although I think it would be funny if they shilled all their products throughout the movie in a Foleyesque way.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted June 8, 2002 I have heard this before awhile ago and i repeat my original feeling...argh. Oh great just what we need...WWeee brand of so called entertianment in movie form. That has me soooo excited. Now if Vince would start remaking classic movies starring wrestlers it would be sooo much more exciting. Well ok...i mean it would make me shoot Vince. Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted June 8, 2002 Here's something scary. Remember in "Beyond the Mat" at the beggining when they interviewed Vince and there was one point where he was asked about his product and he said, as he was drinking his bottled water "We make movies". Now look at the storylines since Vince bought his competition and he didn't have to resort to more realism like he did in the attitude era. Scary isn't it. Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted June 8, 2002 None of the wrestlers can really act. The backstage vignettes are usually piss poor. If you can't write wrestling, how can you write movies? The movies can't be comedies because Vince's sense of humor is different from that of any normal person. I doubt anyone wants to see any WWF action movies. Maybe they can make B movies for the sci-fi channel.

Guest Report post Posted June 8, 2002 Oh joy, let the slew of craptacular "action hero" movies begin. *puke* Oh well, Vince doesn't even get any money from me for his "WRESTLING" product.. and there's 'no chance in hell' I'd ever pay to see a movie put out by a McMahon. Guest Report post Posted June 8, 2002 Christ... I remember once Vince said he had gotten offers to make movies but at the time he said "we already make movies, every week..." now he changes his tune. I honestly don't think that Vince would really do much of the creative work on the movies, probably more as a financier and executive producer kind of role, and use his shows to shill the movies... then he could make some good change without exposing himself too much. Actually, wouldn't it be cool if Steph went off and tried to become a movie star? then she couldn't be a writer anymore.
Guest Report post Posted June 8, 2002 I just came to a startling realization, if Vince does make "Xtreme Productions!," then Hogan and the Rock will have loifetime employment.

The movies can't be comedies because Vince's sense of humor is different from that of any normal person. I doubt anyone wants to see any WWF action movies. Maybe they can make B movies for the sci-fi channel. Agreed. Plus, what Vince fails to realize is that Hollywood does not take wrestling seriously. Supposedly movie executives have told Rocky to leave wrestling all together if he expects to be taken seriously. Vince also needs to understand that even though the wrestling audience is big, it is not big enough to support his movies completely. I think Vince should just stick to wrestling. Or at least make it better than what it is now.
Guest bcu1979 Report post Posted June 9, 2002 Triple H: "Those 2 can't carry the movie to make good money" Steph: "Yeah, Trips can replace Angle, and I can replace Booker!" Vince: "That's my girl!" That's more along the lines of what this new venture will probably be used for. As soon as I read about Vince's new idea, the first thing to come to mind was that he was sick of listening to Stephanie and Triple H whine about how they should be movie stars and not Rock. The Observer reported soon after Triple H came back that he was looking for more acting roles to expand beyond wrestling but Mad TV's about as far as he has gotten.
