SNME change

I went to Hershey Park Arena in Sept 1987 for a WWF taping of "Saturday Night's Main Event" - the show where Honky Tonk Man defended the I-C title vs. the Macho Man (which then led to the formation of the Mega-Powers). Obviously that was a great match, but if you remember also on that card Hogan defended the WWF title vs. Sika (?!?!?) who Vince said on-air was the #1 contender.

However, the previous month the WWF came to town and gave out promotional cards advertising the SNME taping headlined by 2 matches: Honky-Savage and Hogan-Killer Kahn. The Hogan match was then switched to Hogan-Kamala (as announced on the WWF weekly TV show), but then was changed a second time to Hogan-Sika (groan).

It was never explained why Killer Kahn was dropped from the card (I actually liked his WWF push in 1987 with Mr. Fuji and the green mist) or why he left the Federation. Does anybody know?
