Guest wolverine Report post Posted June 9, 2002 NJ: Super Grade Tag League 1993 Haven't seen. NJ: Junior Tag League 1994 Very good tape. The Sasuke/Guerrero vs. Benoit/Ohtani matches are both excellent. NJ: Dontaku 1995 (Flair vs Hase) M Pro: The Kaientai DX BattleArts: BattleArts vs M Pro Haven't seen these. AJ: Champion Carnival 1997 AJ: Champion Carnival 2000 Both good. The '97 in particular has the Misawa-Kobashi 30 minute draw that's excellent, but a big drop from the 1/97 all-time classic. Of course there's the terribly booked 6 minute Misawa-Kawada that's a waste of time. Then there's an very good Kobashi-Kawada to end the show with. I'd recommend it. The 2000 tape is so-so, but it has a good Misawa-Kawada match, even though Misawa is totally washed up and Kawada has to do 99% of the work. The Misawa-Kobashi is clipped, but I have the full version from Samurai TV that's a ***1/2 match. The Kobashi-Omori match is excellent, ****. Get the tape for the match. NOAH: GHC Tournament NOAH: GHC Tag Tournament. I don't like NOAH.
Guest Report post Posted June 9, 2002 Can someone tell me if the following tapes are any good? NJ: Super Grade Tag League 1993 DR: I have this but have never watched it. I'll review it for next weeks DVDVR 138. NJ: Junior Tag League 1994 DR: That rules. Ishizawa and Malenko vs Yuki Ishikawa/ Shoichi Funaki and all the real famous matches make this a must have tape. BT/ Sasuke was one of the great one-shot tagteams ever. NJ: Dontaku 1995 (Flair vs Hase) 5/3/95 Fukuoka Dome Junji Hirata vs. Hiro Saito Koji Kanemoto vs. Sabu Ric Flair vs. Hiro Hase Kensuke Sasaki vs. Hiroyoshi Tenzan Keiji Muto vs. Shinya Hashimoto Yuji Nagata vs. Manabu Nakanishi El Samurai Takayuki Iizuka vs. Akira Nogami Norio Honaga Chris Benoit vs. Too Cold Scorpio Steiners vs. Road Warrior Hawk Scott Norton Terry Funk Shiro Koshinaka vs. Masa Chono Ricky Fuyuki Antonio Inoki Koji Kitao vs. Genichiro Tenryu Riki Choshu DR: I don't have this one, but I can think of a thousand other NJ cards I'd rather see. Steiners vs Hawk and Norton? Ewww! M Pro: The Kaientai DX DR: You want every second of that, unless you don't like Dick Togo. And if you don't like Dick Togo, why would you ever listen to me. BattleArts: BattleArts vs M Pro DR: This is really good. Taka michinoku's last match you'd ever want to sse as he and Minoru Tanaka tear it up. The rest was perfectly fine. AJ: Champion Carnival 1997 DR: The Round Robin finish is pretty stupid, but it did make for a nice Misawa vs Kobashi match. I don't want to give away anything else. You'd want to get it for the Misawa Kobashi match. AJ: Champion Carnival 2000 DR: I have that somewhere. I'll review it if I can find it. NOAH: GHC Tournament DR: I don't have this. NOAH: GHC Tag Tournament. DR: I watched this Friday night. It's good. Akiyama/Saito vs Vader/Scorpio is good. Kanemaru vs Takaiwa is absolutely balls out awesome. DEAN.
