The Saints are 4-1 not 3-2 but I don't think they'd move up more than a spot anyway, as the only team you have ahead of them that could probably be lower would be the Vikes. I don't know about the Ravens and Broncos being ahead of Indy & SD but there's nothing there that stands out as terrible. Even though Baltimore beat San Diego, I'd probably go Chicago, SD, Philly, Indy, Pats as the top 5 and realistically 2 through 16 are pretty interchangeable right now because every team besides Chicago has a glaring weakness whether it be on defense, offense or not having a quality win yet. KingPK 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2006 The teams are definitely interchangeable, but I had to put them in some order, so I basically went "Ok, x beat y, so they get a higher spot". RE: Indy - If Jacksonville and Tennessee had competent QB play to go along with their rushing dominance (hence my "Leftwich taketh away" comment) and the Jets didn't make that bonehead playcall on 4th down (I agreed with going for it, but the play was a bad one), they could concievably have 2 or 3 losses right now. Manning's been just ok, the running game's been just ok (but improving a bit), and the defense has been pretty bad, so they get knocked down. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I was in a chat with a Vol fan last weekend and he said he hated Peyton. Could he ever beat Florida? NO. Who was it that beat Florida and won a championship for Tennessee? It was Tee Fucking Martin. Back to NFL matters though, Peyton is one of the few quarterbacks I've seen in my (short) life who has an air of invincibility about him. The Colts being undefeated even without Edgerrin James anymore thus far speaks volumes for his ability to carry a team. Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted October 10, 2006 Watching the first half of the Monday night game and listening to the second, I'm now convinced that neither team is really going anywhere with their current QB. Mark my words, McNair will wear down as the year progresses, and will be lucky to finish it. He took some real shots against Denver, and there's some good pass rushers ahead on the schedule. There's Carolina next week, and they've still got the Bengals twice and the Steelers twice. If McNair makes it to playoff time (I think they'll get in on a wildcard, maybe) there's no way they win their first game. This team right now screams "1st round loss to New England." If he can turn it around somehow, Denver can go far...their top two receivers are as good as any pair in the league, and the defence is killer. packwingfn 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2006 So heres my report on my trip to Lambeau: I won't even discuss about Chicago on Friday/Saturday but it was a fun city. Wrigley Field was a sight to see and Cubby Bear was a kickass bar. Onto Lambeau: We left our hotel around 6am to make our trip to Green Bay. We were 5 miles south of Milwaukee so it was a good 2 hour drive. We weren't sure how bad traffic would be but we made it by 9ish after stopping for breakfast. We made our way to the supermarket and grabbed some food and some beer to tailgate a little bit. We parked on the intersection of Lombardi Ave and Holmgren Way. We parked next to an 85 year old man who's been a Packer fan since the 1950s so that was awesome. We made our way to the Jersey Store and I bought my cheesehead so I could wear it during the game. It just felt so good being surrounded by thousans of Packer fans. Having grown up in New England my whole life, I've always been surrounded by Pats fan and I hate it. I felt home with my KGB Jersey. Despite being a 1-3 team, the fans were still having fun and this defnitely didn't feel like a bad team. We had excellent seats thanks to my Mom's coworker who had relatives in Green Bay. We were on the 29th row on the 10 yard line. I was just in awe when I looked around and saw all the famous Packers on the stadium. We got there early so I grabbed a nice spot for warmups and took a lot of pictures. Dave Rayner came by near our section and I yelled to him about the nice kick he had on Monday Night. The game finally started and despite the bad start, the Packers 2nd drive was great and killed most of the first quarter which ended with the Noah Herron TD. I was happy that they scored a touchdown but I was hoping that it wasn't their only one. Eventually Jennings scored in the 4th which happened down our end of the field which was awesome to see. Unfortunally, brett's fumble happened right in front of us too so the ending was sad but the game was still intense, especially the ending as we could have won it if the O-Line had given Brett enough time to find David Martin inside the endzone. Afterwards, I waited in a 20 minute line to enter the proshop. It was NUTS in there, I bought a Packers Hoodie, TShirt, a few cups. I almost bought an AJ Hawk Jersey but I'm poor so Im glad I held myself. We tailgated a little bit after but then explored some more of Green Bay before we went back to the hotel. I would defnitely recommend visiting Green Bay for any Packer fans or even fans of the opposite team. The fans seemed real nice even towards the Rams fans so I would say anyone would be safe in Green Bay unless your a Bears fan maybe. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I live in North Carolina, but I've never claimed any affiliation with the Panthers. What's more, many longtime TSM readers will recall my mean-spirited gloating (and all of the litigation that followed) after the Bucs' Super Bowl win a few years back. Their subsequent lack of success is a major reason why you don't see me around here much anymore. Their losing has taken all of the fun out of my winning.
