Guest Downhome Report post Posted June 9, 2002 Ever since Edge broke away and went solo once again, I have been against him, that is, untill recently. I didn't think he had the look, the in ring style, the character, or hell, ANYTHING to actually be in the Upper Card, much less the Main Event. But now, after his feud with Kurt Angle, my outlook on Edge has begun to change. For the past while, the only feud that I've been truly intrested in was that of Edge/Angle. It had most of what I love in a great feud, including actual progression. So yeah, I'm coming around to Edge, he keeps on proving himself week after week. But there is still a SMALL part of me wishing his push will fail, hoping that his run in the sun will end. So, I guess his NEXT feud will be the biggest turning point in his career, and by the looks of it, it is possibly a program against Jericho, and that almost promises to be gold once again. However, if Edge does begin to "suck" or begins to look worse in my eyes, at least we know one more thing once again... ...Kurt Angle is actually that damn good, and actually made me like Edge, at least for a short while! I hope Edge stays up there now though. I can't really explain it, but I'm beginging to like the guy, so sue me. Sincerely, ...Downhome...

Guest Downhome Report post Posted June 9, 2002 His evil has gotten to you. I can safely say that I am not lying, when I say that I literaly said you would be the first to reply to this topic. But don't forget... ...I DID say that my newfound liking of Edge is because of Kurt Angle, so, only time will tell!

Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted June 9, 2002 Edge needs to turn heel before I'll be able to get any read on how much I care for him. His face act is super stale IMO. He needs to be freshened up...if for no other reason than to distance himself from the memory that he was one of the guys in that godaweful Regal feud. Guest Report post Posted June 10, 2002 Ugh, I can't stand Edge as a character and little better as a wrestler. What can the guy do against guys of mediocre or poor ability? We won't be able to judge whether he's truly improved or not until the WWE stops booking him against guys who can carry his ass, i.e. Angle and Jericho. Guest RicFlairGlory Report post Posted June 10, 2002 You want to know why the Regal/Edge feud sucked and Angle/Edge was FAR better? Kurt Angle. He's brought Edge from piss break to barely watchable. Congrats, Kurt. You've done for Edge what HBK did for Sid
Guest RedJed Report post Posted June 10, 2002 Angle is plain and simple.....DA MAN! If he can pull a 3 star match with Hogan at KOTR, there is no doubt he's one of a kind.
Guest thefrenchargel Report post Posted June 10, 2002 I actually bet a friend a dollar that Angle will carry Hogan to a rating over **.
Guest converge241 Report post Posted June 10, 2002 I agree. He hasnt cracked my "top 10" or anything, but im into his work and the character more and more. I actually bet a friend a dollar that Angle will carry Hogan to a rating over **. Kurt (and Flair) could carry A DOLLAR to a ** match

Guest Brian Report post Posted June 10, 2002 Angle's biggest strength is in bumping for Hogan. His offense isn't geared well towards working with him UNLESS Hogan is willing to take it, and Angle just isn't good enough to work a style that will fit better. The only thing that could make this decent is Angle bumping like crazy, but I'd rather have Jericho because not only is his offense better suited but I think Jericho sells better than Angle and can carry storylines better throughout a match and play off past matches. And Jericho needs the rub more than Angle.
