Explain the current use of Dawn Marie...

Ok, so they sign Dawn Marie, that's great in my book, as she's one of my favorite female women in wrestling ever. So, that's a good thing, nothing wrong with signing her. She then debuts, not as a Lance Storm's valet, not as his girlfriend, hell, she doesn't debut with anyone. No, instead she is debuted as a lawyer dealing with Vince McMahon, and is now apparently entering into a feud against Stacey Keibler over the "honor" of being able to f*ck Vince. Yeah, this is where I have a problem.

Now, if Lance was doing nothing at all at the time of her debut, then I'd be a little more ok with this (ok, so I wouldn't), but no, he was actually active on TV when she debuted! Putting her with him would have finally given him a look all his own, SOMETHING more to stand him out from the crowd. But no, they pass up on yet another oppertunity to do something more with Lance, and they simply make Dawn yet another one of Vince's line of personal f*ck whores. Oh yes, this is some damn innovative writing we have going on here guys. Sure, Dawn with Lance wouldn't have been any more innovative, but at least it would make som sense, a hell of a lot more sense than what they are doing with them right now.

So please, can SOMEONE explain to me the logic in what is going on!?

Sincerely,

...Downhome...

It's Vince letting his ego get out of check.  He hires girls, and if he wants them to drool over him on TV, then they will.  -_-  That's the sad truth about it.

I *loved* Storm w/ Dawn... the chemistry is there, they are great friends out of the ring, but no... not for Storm.  He's stuck in lower-midcarder hell.  This could have actually lead to a Storm push, but nope.

Thanks Vince.  :sarcasm:

It's too much of a shame...Speaking of Lance Storm, I couldn't help but start thinking..

WHERE THE HELL HAS JUSTIN CREDIBLE BEEN LATELY?!?!?! I mean if it was true that X-Pac and Justin were friends outside the ring, Credible should be main eventing againsT austin by now. Meh.

But then again who cares about Justin Credible cept for me..

I do, I do! I think he has loads of potential, but he just hasn't shown it in the WWE really that much yet. I don't see any reason what so ever they don't just restart The Impact Players WITH Dawn Marie damnit. I can just see them being either huge heels or huge faces, becoming a legendary WWE tag team, leading to huge singles careers for both of them, or hell, all three of them.

Could Dawn Marie actually wrestle though?

And I'm not a huge fan of the 'tagging two people up to pursue singles careers' thing ala Edge & Christian..Because when the tag division gets stale (as it is right now), then we start wanting the old players back...which wouldn't be so bad, since good tag teams get their place in history, and while I don't know if Edge will ever be a bigtime main event player, I'm not sop sure he'll be remembered in wrestling history so much for that as for him and Christian together beign the 7 time champs.

I think they have to put Dawn Marie in that position because she's not very well known amongst the average WWE fan.  I know I didn't know who she was, only that she was connected to Lance Storm.

I don't get the big deal. Dawn Marrie is nothing special outside of the looks department, so I see nothing being wasted. Her and Storm weren't exactly dynamite when it came to chemistry, either. Them being paired together would have resulted in this same situation, since management would be just as disinterested with pushing Storm as a serious threat and just as intent on pushing Dawn as one of Vince's floozies.

Oh, and the Impact Players were as bush league as any "make-shift tag team plus hot vallet" combination I've ever seen. They only seemed coherant because they were wrestling Nova and Chris Ghetti.

Yeah, I'm sure it was Nova and Chris who carried Storm to good matches, right?

No, that's not what I meant at all. With teams like Chris and Nova around, it's easy to seem like a coherant and well-oiled tag team. But, when push comes to shove, it's a bush-leage team and any attempt at bringing it into the big leagues will have as much success as Public Enemy did. And so on.
