Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted June 9, 2002 Report Posted June 9, 2002 So, last night, I got a bunch of friends together to watch cheesy horror movies. We're watching Phantasm, the original one, and I never realized how INCREDIBLY cheesy it really is. If it weren't for the excellent way the sequels built off of each other perfectly (including having the last scene in the previous film be the first scene in the next one), I might not even like this film. But hey, it's a 70's horror film, so I'll cut it some slack.
Guest Posted June 9, 2002 Report Posted June 9, 2002 There were a lot of movies made in the last 5 years that are way cheesier than Phantasm.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted June 9, 2002 Report Posted June 9, 2002 For all that it's worth, I've never actually seen Phantasm. Is it any good? I'll make sure to rent it over the summer, lest when I take film courses next year I get mocked for it being another Classic I Have Not Seen (CIHNS).
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted June 9, 2002 Report Posted June 9, 2002 It IS good...but it's better when you see all 3 sequels following it, as each movie actually builds off of the previous film, ESPECIALLY the 4th one, OblIVion.

What the hell? Sequels that build off each other and make sense storyline-wise? I gotta see this series
