Guest Mark4steamboat Report post Posted June 9, 2002 I was reading through TV Guide last nite and they had an article talking about how TNN has ordered 20 more episodes and the 52 the aired on nickleodeon. Theyre wanting ren and stimpy to lead their animated lineup which is starting in 2003. Gary the rat(i think thats what its called) will also be about a lawyer that gets turned into a rat. Kelsey Grammer will voice the lawyer. Striperella, a stripper turned super hero, will be voiced by pam anderson and should debut at this time as well. Well the other 2 sound shitty but hey im all up for new ren and stimpy.
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted June 9, 2002 Dude, cool! I remember watching Ren & Stimpy all the time as a little kid, and always wondered when it would come back on the air or be on home video or DVD. Are these new episodes ones from before that were never aired (I heard one or two couldn't be aired on Nickelodeon because of their content) or new new ones that are being made now? Guest Crazy Dan Report post Posted June 10, 2002 This could work out really good, but only if TNN allows Ren and Stimpy to be like the earlier episodes. And not like the later ones, which to me were very watered down by Nickelodian(sp). The earlier ones made me laugh. But the newer ones weren't funny and lost it's edge. This show would have lasted longer originally if it had been picked up by MTV, instead of the kid network (I am not going to mispell twice). But that is just my view of the whole thing. I will definately check this out to see if it is funny for sure.
Guest Mark4steamboat Report post Posted June 10, 2002 The 2 that couldnt be showsn are included in the 52 they bought. They are drawing new episodes now and should be available early 2003. I dont think that the show will be marketed to children so expect some bizarre things.
Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted June 10, 2002 Greatest news I have heard all day. I used to have the SNES games too.
Guest Slapnuts00 Report post Posted June 10, 2002 If this is true it's awesome news. NEW EPISODES being made?! Is original creator John K. involved? God willing they'll show the banned episodes that Nick never let air. Hey, is there a link I can see to an article or source online? I just want to see some confirmation. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted June 10, 2002 kick ass...Striperella!! Too bad it's voiced by that trailer trash hag Pamela Anderson. It would've been alot better if it was Vampirella, but i suppose Striperella will do.

Guest The Man in Blak Report post Posted June 10, 2002 You know, out of the three original Nicktoons, who would have thought that Ren & Stimpy would be the one that would be pulled out of the grave almost ten years later, while the other two have enjoyed major film and crossover success? Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted June 10, 2002 I would be happy if they reran Rocco's Modern Life.

Because unlike R&S and Rocco, the others were very kid friendly and easy to market. Ren and Stimpy was kinda controversial, especially 10 years ago, to the point where Nick had to edit every episode for a line or scene that might be too subjective. It had the limitations of being a controversial cartoon on a kid's network.
Guest Mark4steamboat Report post Posted June 10, 2002 Rugrats is losing viewers rapidly and i heard that the show maybe coming to an end. Im glad the old nicktoons are coming back. Growing up, i loved RnS, rocco, and Doug. When doug came back, i was disappointed because IT SUCKED.
Guest Karnage Report post Posted June 10, 2002 As soon as Doug got taken over by Disney, it went to hell. And Rocco was hilarious, there was so much masturbation references.
Guest Mark4steamboat Report post Posted June 11, 2002 Im surprised Rocco ran as long as it did with all the suggestive themes that were in the episodes.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted June 11, 2002 Don't wizz on the electric fence! Yeah. The Old Nickelodeon shows ruled, but alas I dont think that we shall ever see the one actual show that I would pay dearly to see: You Can't Do That on Television BAH! Then they could bring back Eureeka's Castle, Are You Afraid of the Dark and Finders Keepers. I love all of this sappy return to childhood memories. Heck, TNN should be forced to rerun the WWF cartoons as well.

ROCCO HAD MASTURBATION REFERENCES? I LOVED ROCKO WHEN I WAS LITTLE. Remember the one when Heffer became a cop and at the end he stripped nude? Disney Doug was good why wasn't it? Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted June 12, 2002 The only NickToon I'll watch now is Spongebob Squarepants because it is marketed for kids and adults. I usually watch it Sunday mornings.
Guest Risk Report post Posted June 12, 2002 I'm really tired of kids' networks. I think they emotionally stunt the emotional growth of children. That being said, RnS and Rocco RULED. Doug was cool too, but could have been better. It's funny to see how much Disney ruined it.
Guest Report post Posted June 12, 2002 Disney did not ruined Doug.
Guest Mark4steamboat Report post Posted June 12, 2002 Beebee had the school named after her, Roger got rich, Skeeter got lamer and their outfits changed. I could go on and on but i havent seen a disney ep in a while. SPONGEBOB IS THE MOST OVERRATED PIECE OF SHIT CARTOON I HAVE EVER SEEN! now that i got that out, i dont see what is so fucking special about a sponge. Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted June 12, 2002 Disney did not ruined Doug. You are right. Disney didn't "ruined" Doug, but they did "ruin" him. I'm sorry, I had to redeem myself for a spelling error in the Smark Krew folder.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted June 12, 2002 I don't remember the masturbation references in Rocko...but I do remember the very large woman whose breasts/BUTT-cheeks Rocko always ended up falling into/touching by accident, and then getting smacked. It was great... I also remember the episode where Rocko went to the gym. That big muscley-dog thing was lifting weights, and his arms suddenly got torn off, and blood started squirting everywhere. Dammit...WE NEED ROCKO BACK~!~
Guest Mark4steamboat Report post Posted June 12, 2002 I dont remember masturbation references either.
Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted June 12, 2002 Are the Rocco episodes on WINMX or Kazaa?
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted June 13, 2002 I never knew about the masturbation references either, but I guess since I watched that a lot growing up, it explains a lot... One of my favorite Rocco's Modern Life lines was when Filbert was watching a self-help cassette infomercial on TV and the host gives a really long number. Filbert stops and says "Wait a minute, isn't that too many numbers?" and the host says "Just dial the number!" or something to that effect. Great stuff. I also remember the episode at the DMV... that was hilarious, and probably also explains a lot about why I still haven't gone to get my driver's license. What exactly were the mastiurbation references in Rocko.
Guest Report post Posted June 13, 2002 That is soo awesome that RnS is coming back. I hope they are like the old days too. I hope the bring back Rocco too. Doug was cool but it sucks now. I dont watch nicktoons anymore. Rugrats is way too overrated nowadays. I dont know how I feel about Spongebob, and Hey Arnold!.
