Guest HBK WILL ROT IN HELL Posted June 10, 2002 Report Posted June 10, 2002 Hey people. Could anyone who has seen this tell us if its any good and what matches if any are good. Or if its just a waste of time to watch. Thanks.
Guest JHawk Posted June 10, 2002 Report Posted June 10, 2002 This exists? What's the lineup? My guess would be that it's a waste because the AWA was the dead horse in mid-beating by 1989, but I've never seen it.
Guest vlad Posted June 10, 2002 Report Posted June 10, 2002 I bought a copy of this tape for $6 (Australian) at a book/CD/Vodeo exchange. I enjoyed it. It really depends on your taste in wrestling. I absolutely love old school wrestling. I have a heap of AWA tapes (War in the Windy City, Blood on the Sand, SuperClash I, Superclash III, Battle Royal 89, etc). I even enjoy crappy matches. That just me. I believe Rage in Rocester covers a couple of AWA TV tapings in early 1989. If you remember the 80's, Ken Patera & Brad Rheingans were AWA tag champs and the Destruction Crew wanted a title match. They set up a car lifting contest between Bloom and Patera, which Patera won. The Crew got pissed off and injured Rheingans. Patera then teamed with Wahoo McDaniel to face the Destruction Crew. Wahoo got his eye injured and announced his "retirement". Typical TV stuff. Like I said if you like 80's wrestling, you will enjoy it. If you are like these kids these days, where everything is workrate this, star rating that - you will hate.
