Guest Posted June 10, 2002 Report Posted June 10, 2002 Practically everyone and their mother has busted out the Muta scale reference these days, but, seeing as how I've never seen the Muta-Hase match that spawned this form of bladejob measurement, I've been at a loss as how to use it properly. So I appeal to you, People of the Foreign Board, to help me out. Could someone lead me to a website that has a picture from this match? Thanks in advance.
Guest Black Tiger Posted June 10, 2002 Report Posted June 10, 2002 I don't know about pictures, but www.goldenboytapes.com has the tape of the TV show it aired on for $7.00. Even helpfully noted as "Muta vs Hase bloodbath.
Guest J*ingus Posted June 10, 2002 Report Posted June 10, 2002 I don't have any pictures, but I think that Keith really does overstate how bad it was. It's just a shade bloodier than Austin at WMXIII, and I think less than Jericho's infamous bloodbath in the Thrillseekers/Heavenly Bodies match in SMW. Also, the various deathmatches in the indies and Japan routinely out-blade the Muta match.

If no one can provide a picture, here's a new question: Is the match itself good? I'll buy a copy of a tape that has the match if it is worth my time.
Guest Jubuki Posted June 10, 2002 Report Posted June 10, 2002 It's available for download - just read the threads here more closely for FTP and Hotline and mentions of that nature.
Guest Nevermortal Posted June 10, 2002 Report Posted June 10, 2002 I'll try and see if I can get some screen captures. Sure, there have been bloodier, but in that match, Muta's blood just goes everywhere, and its so thick that it covers everything.
Guest cynicalprofit Posted June 10, 2002 Report Posted June 10, 2002 It wasnt a great match, but the bladeing instrument was unique, looked to be half a gigant pair of scissors, and its just muta bleeding like crazy for about 12 minutes and the blood just flows from him and it gets all over himself and hase. Its not super special or anything. Go get some garbage japan stuff if bloods what you want.

Guest CED Ordonez Posted June 11, 2002 Report Posted June 11, 2002 I thought it was a rail spike used in that match.
Guest Posted June 15, 2002 Report Posted June 15, 2002 So SK's put up a picture of the Muta bladejob (found here), and GOOD LORD. Yuk.

Guest Posted June 15, 2002 Report Posted June 15, 2002 That pic is not offensive. Well, duh. Nothing can compare to the horror that is my sig pic.

Guest Posted June 19, 2002 Report Posted June 19, 2002 It's a close call between the Muta match and the Jerico SMW match in terms of bloodiness. Muta DID start literally dripping 5 seconds after Hase stopped using the spike on him, whereas Jericho took longer to develop the full crimson mask. Nevertheless, it's good bloodshed, so why dont you judge for yourself? Thrillseekers vs Heavenly Bodies Muta vs Hase right click and hit save target as to download 'em
Guest Posted June 20, 2002 Report Posted June 20, 2002 So I watched that Heavenly Bodies-Thrillseekers match (good stuff, and thanks, TigerDriver), and Jericho does indeed score some super-impressive juice, though the painkillers in his system for his broken arm helped. But how did Muta spill so much blood? Aspirin and/or alcohol? Did he simply slice himself numerous times?
Guest Rob Edwards Posted June 20, 2002 Report Posted June 20, 2002 Heres a link to a still of 1.0 muta it's not a great pic though http://members.shaw.ca/skeith
Guest Incandenza Posted June 20, 2002 Report Posted June 20, 2002 I had posted a link to that pic, and made a few other comments, too (hell, I started this thread), but all has been lost in The Great Forum Purge of 2002. Motherfucker!
