Out of curiousity, Porter, who do you think the Bears should take?

Like I said, they should either take Posluzny or David Harris just in case Briggs can't play, or I would be okay taking an offensive lineman to take some pressure off Rex Grossman. Then in round 2, I'd have them take a WR since Muhammad is getting up there in the years or Brian Leonard for an added weapon out of the backfield, if he's there.

Hey, Bears are finally on the clock. Meanwhile, Cubs are up 7-0 in St. Louis, so that's neat. I trust Jerry Angelo here.

Fuck you Chicago. *Puts on Chargers hat*

Hey, the Bears have drafted well. Hang in there.

Drawback: Grossman will be tempted to throw over the middle more often.

Boo on Meachum. No doubt he's talented, but the Saints need defense!!!

Then again Payton likes to run up the score. At least he's an offensive minded coach making offensive decisions where as Haslett was a defensive minded coach and did pretty miserable :-\

With Colston, Henderson, Lewis, and now Meachum as receivers, I guess this means we'll be running a lot of 3 and four receiver sets, especially with Bush in the mix on top of our tight ends. I really hope the rest of the picks are defense though.

Odd pick for the Colts. Gonzalez is underrated on the boards, for sure, though.

You'd think they could find a slot receiver in the 2nd round though. They need a linebacker to replace Cato June, tackles to stop the run, and a corner to replace Harper and David. Instead they take a 3rd WR? That's just...weird. Unless they think Marvin Harrison is done in a year or two.

Yup, NFL Network again this year is going to completely ignore everything after the 1st Round.

What the hell is wrong with them. I loved the first round analysis, but skipping the rest is just dumb. People who watch the damn draft aren't only interested in the first round, it's die hard fans who want to see the whole thing and hear analysis on the 2nd/3rd round players. Ugh.

I really hate that mess. How many times can you really analyze the way Russell throws the ball? Or the way Peterson finds cutback lanes? I mean god damn, the second and third round actually can produce some very good NFL talent guys.

I don't get it, either...

NFL Network has to know the diehards are watching their coverage. And I'm sure at least Mayock knows enough about the lesser players to mention them more.

It is pretty good when the reaction gets past the point of pissed and they couldn't even muster up the boos.

They have to trade Holcomb now, so maybe they can get a 4th to recoup a bit. But everyone knows they'll have to release him so they might not even get that.

Come on man, if Randy Moss is a 4th then Holcomb isn't getting anything. You'll have to hope for an injury to Losman or something.
