J.B. Buzzkill Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 Darrelle Revis' insane punt return in the '05 Backyard Brawl.
LaParkaMarka Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 And the Colts take an OT after taking a WR last round. Who needs defense right?
Bored Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 49ers trade out of the 2nd Round with Jarrett, Rice, and Smith all on the board. Makes me think the Darrell Jackson trade will happen. Still waiting to see what picks they got from the Colts.
LaParkaMarka Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 That was the most disappointing pick by Carolina!!!! I thought for sure they were going to take WR USC Steve Smith, not WR USC Dwayne Jarrett. Damn it.
Hawk 34 Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 "He plays like me. I'm going to teach him, glad to have you man, you happy?" "Um, yeah.' That was really awkward.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 Keyshawn really made Jarrett uncomfortable there. "After telling you to stay in school, how did it feel to drop down in the board?"
Guest Vitamin X Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 yeah that Keyshawn interview was super awkward. Green Bay has to be going for a running back here. EDIT: Or they'll jump in on the trade orgy going on today. This is pretty ridiculous.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 That was the most disappointing pick by Carolina!!!! I thought for sure they were going to take WR USC Steve Smith, not WR USC Dwayne Jarrett. Damn it. And come on, quit with the Steve Smith stuff. Jarrett is the more highly regarded USC receiver. Not that USC Steve Smith isn't any good. He is... *hopes Chicago gets him*
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 And VX, Packers don't have 2nd round picks. You're going to wait a long while to get a running back, if you do.
Bored Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 I can't believe ESPN or NFL Network haven't picked this up yet but the 49ers picked up the Colts 1st Round pick for next year in their trade. Granted that pick isn't going to be a great one but at least they are back into the 1st Round next year.
Guest Vitamin X Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 And VX, Packers don't have 2nd round picks. You're going to wait a long while to get a running back, if you do. What did they just trade with the Jets then?
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 You said it. They traded the pick they DID have. They don't now.
Guest Vitamin X Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 I know, that's why I'm asking what they got in return.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 From what I see, at least a 3rd rounder. edit: You also traded the 7th round pick as well as the 2nd round pick, received the 3rd and 6th round picks. Maybe next year picks are figured in, otherwise that's a bad trade. Ah they just added in the 2nd round pick change. My apologies.
LaParkaMarka Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 Jets Get # 2nd round, No. 47: David Harris, LB, Michigan # 7th round, No. 235 Packers Get # 2nd round, No. 63 # 3rd round, No. 89 # 6th round, No. 191
Hawk 34 Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 I want to see who is getting drafted. Not this lame attempt at drama.
LaParkaMarka Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 Any Bengals fans here? Why the heck are they taking a RB? They have Rudi Johnson and Chris Perry already.
Guest Vitamin X Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 Here it is: Jets Get: # 2nd round, No. 47: David Harris, LB, Michigan # 7th round, No. 235 Packers Get: # 2nd round, No. 63 # 3rd round, No. 89 # 6th round, No. 191 Not bad. Although Pittman and Irons are gone now, so not much of an ideal situation as is.
Hawk 34 Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 Any Bengals fans here? Why the heck are they taking a RB? They have Rudi Johnson and Chris Perry already. Perry is a injury machine. I might have expected to grab a RB later on but this kid looks ok. Tennessee just picked up Chris Henry. Poor guy.
Hawk 34 Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 Pittman's not gone. Yeah, I'm surprised Cincinnati didn't take him over Irons, although Pittman did say he hadn't spoke with them yet. The reaction from the three Giants fans left was awesome. Two were high fiving and the other in the back slamming his sheet on the chair in anger.
Guest Queen Leelee Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 I'm happy with the Bills getting Posluszny in round 2. I was fearful they'd reach for him at #12. I'm stunned with the QB's going this early. Especially, Drew Stanton. But, Matt Millen, yeah.
the pinjockey Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 Is there even a point to watching either channel's coverage? They have both given up already. And who the hell is Jaime Dukes and why are they trying to pull some Mad Money style segment with his fat ass? He's like Steven A. Smith's fat big brother.
Guest Queen Leelee Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 He was an OL for a really long time in the early-90s range. He's basically the NFL Network's version of Schlereth... obsesses over O-Linemen, and says "controversial" shit because he's big and he can.
Guest Vitamin X Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 ESPN is still pretty boring, but I'm watching NFL Network on the net right now. I only wish they'd have NFL network on the net all the time.
LaParkaMarka Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 Has Mariucci said anything since the Mike Williams trade? Poor Mariucci, now they ask him about Charles Rogers. He must want to murder Millen right now.
Guest Vitamin X Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 Alright, Antonio Pittman or Michael Bush still available? I say take a chance on either one. EDIT: Erm... Brandon Jackson? WTF?
LaParkaMarka Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 For everyone who has no idea who Brandon Jackson is... Strengths: Very good athlete...Plays faster than he times...Great quickness and a burst...Has excellent vision, patience and instincts...Tough, strong and runs hard...He is able to run inside and outside effectively...Shifty...Good balance and changes direction well...Was a productive receiver...Not much mileage on his tires...Big-time upside. Weaknesses: Does not have much experience at all...Was never a workhorse in college...Size is only average...Timed speed is okay but not special...Won't run away from anyone and isn't a big play threat...Doesn't have great hands...He's sub par as a blocker. Notes: Entered the draft after his junior season despite a pedestrian on-field resume...A guy who could be underrated because he most certainly has talent and appeared to finally be coming into his own this past season...May have been the top senior running back for 2008 so he could end up being a big steal for someone this year
