Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2006 This is the sellout album. They show none of the previous inspiration and motivation and have fallen in line with the most mediocre of this soulless mass that continue to offer nothing of note after the death of truly great and meaningful Death Metal spirituality and concepts. I honestly hope that they can make some money for themselves in the next year or two of touring, and then gracefully call it quits because it's clear that the drive isn't there any longer. They would only be tarnishing their legacy.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2006 You know, it's funny, because I've heard everything from the s/t being their "sell-out" album and it being a piece of shit to it being their best album since their first. How do you like to the new Deicide, Tack? I find the solo's of Jack Owens to be a nice juxtaposition with the pure-death of the rest of the music.
Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2006 I've heard only a couple songs from their new album and it sounded like they were trying to go the Vital Remains route with grandiose power metal riffing style in their Death Metal. Likely it will end up like Vital Remains, interesting the first two times, and then reality sets in and you realize there's just not much under all the studio magic and flowery rhythms.
