He's a generic guy with really nothing to differentiate himself from any other midcarder. It's not like he's still doing the same character he came into the federation with anymore. He's just some guy with a towel. Val's got issues with his delivery since its so throaty and his offence is so kind of borinbg that it will always hold him out of the uppercard. I always liked the way he was whe he wore white tights and was intense, fueded with Rikishi and Mankind. One thing they have to change is his name, Val Venis and the Big Valboski aren't credible main event names. I would like to see him take on his real name(Sean Morley or something like that) but there is already a Shawn(Michaels) and having two people with the same name is seemingly much too confusing for WWE. I've said it before, I think he has all the tools to be a main-eventer and hopefully in ime he'll get there. Maybe now with Edge out Venis will take his place for a while and get a push. Guest Human Fly Report post Posted June 10, 2002 I think even a name change to Val Venis from "Big Valbowski" would be better. Val Venis isn't the greatest name, but "Valbowski" is really scraping the bottom. Does anyone seriously know what his gimmick is now? He has his towel still, but doesn't do any of the porn stuff, and I don't think he even kisses plants anymore. So does that just make him a wrestler with an affinity for terry cloth? They just had him with a lame gimmick for so long nobody paid attention to how FREAKING AWESOME he has gotten in the ring. If his matches as of late are any indication this guys work rate it absolutly beserk. And as far as excitment goes, I would put his matches up with RVD's. He doesn't do the high spots, but he just works at such a rapid pace. I would easily call him one of the best workers in the WWE today. I don't understand why he hasn't gotten the main event push. He's stacked, he looks imposing and he isn't frighteningly ugly. I think, actually, he is in line for a push at the moment. You can see they're trying to phase out the porn star gimmick in a way that people will forget, not just dropping it and bringing him right back. I honestly haven't paid much attention to him, ever, except since they let him rock on TV, so maybe he's just gotten this good lately (which would explain his lack of being in Edge's spot). Also, looking good for his push was the heat he was getting against Christian (who made him look even better) and the fact they annaounced he was Edge's friend and he saved Edge's ass.
