The Wicker Man-Yes, the remake is out on this date on DVD. Also out on this date is the original, which gets a 2-disc treatment from Anchor Bay.

 

December 25

Black Christmas-Remake of the 1970's horror classic. Stars Katie Cassidy, Michelle Trachtenberg, Oliver Hudson, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Lacey Chabert. The original will be out in a special edition dvd before this one.

 

December 26

The Descent-DVD date for this, in both rated and unrated formats. Contains the original ending. If you have'nt seen it yet, be sure to, as it's a great horror movie.

Sheitan-French horror film about a group of college kids who look for fun, only to run into trouble. Featuring Vincent Cassel as the villain, and a cameo from Monica Belluci.

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer-Based on the acclaimed best seller about a perfume maker who kills women to capture their sents. Stars Allan Rickman, Ben Whishaw, Rachel-Hurd Wood, and Dustin Hoffman.

 

December 29

Pan's Labyrinth-Guillermo del Toro's acclaimed fantasy/horror film comes out on this date. I really can't wait for this one.

The Messangers-U.S. directorial debut for the Pang Brothers (who did "The Eye"), deals with a family who moves into a farm, only to encounter an evil force. Stars Kristen Stewart, Dylan McDermott, and Penelope Ann Miller

 

January 26

Blood and Chocolate-A clan of werewolves finds their existence threatened when an femal member falls for a reporter.

The Invisible-David S. Goyer (director of "Blade III") directs this movie about a ghost who must find his body with the help of a neglected teen girl.

 

January 30

Evil-DVD debut of the first ever zombie movie from Greece.

Maniac-Special Edition of William Lustig's infamous 80's slasher flick.

Rogue-Director Greg Mcleans's follow up to "Wolf Creek" deals with a group of people terrorized by a giant crocodile in Australia.

Wind Chill-College students on a holiday drive run into some unpleasent ghosts. Yawn...

Any idea what will be the extras? I have the single disc and it's got some good stuff.

Have to agree. This is a great film. You can find the ending on youtube.com. It's a great non-Hollywood ending.

I'm going to see this one in a preview on Dec 5. I'll let people know how this one is. I am really excited about it since it's supposed to be better then Devil's Backbone, and that one rocked!

I saw the trailer for Turistas and it looks like complete crap as well as appearing to be such a rip-off of Hostel. And they made a White Noise 2?!! UGH!

I'm checking out Turistas tomorrow, just because I want to see an R-rated horror movie in a theatre.

 

I forgot to mention, Behind The Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon is getting a limited theatrical release from Anchor Bay starting January 6th. SO far, I've heard noting but praise for it.

As much as I like the Pang Brother's first and second Eye movies, the third one was awful - this Messengers movie looks like pure unmittigated shite.
