Craig Th 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2006 My girlfriend has the 2GB iPod Nano and when I hook it up to either my computer or hers, you can't play the songs from the iPod through the computer. I know there is some read only setting somewhere, but I can't find it. Thanks in advance.
Fökai 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2006 If the songs are "greyed" out, that means that the iPod is locked to another computer. The only way I knew how to get out of that is to re-format the iPod, but maybe there's an easier way to go about it. I don't remember any type of "read-only" setting. With a program like CopyPod and such, you can save the music before you re-format.
Craig Th 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2006 Yeah, I figured it out. You have to "manually manage the iPod" or something like that. Thanks.
Fökai 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2006 Oh, you had it set to "sync all music"...that would also explain it.
