Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2006 I said it after their two hour primetime debut: The great thing about that show was that it didn't feel like everything was rushed. The matches and angles were given time to develop in front of the audience. The one hour timeslot is the complete opposite. Everything is rushed and forced. You can hardly remember all the matches and stuff that happened because the moment one segment ends, they rush into another angle or match. They really need to go to a two hour format. The primetime special showed they can do it.

The LAX angle that started the show lasted all of two minutes when it should of went atleast five minutes.

While there were a couple of instances I would have liked to see them do differently, I agree with Invader3K that the 2 hour show was one of the better paced Impacts ever. Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2006 Was there a two-hour Impact that some people saw that the rest of us didn't? The two-hour show was just as rushed as the normal Impact, perhaps more so.
Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2006 I don't know...maybe it was a little rushed, but I felt the overall pacing was much better than an average one hour episode of Impact. Matches went through commercial breaks, etc. Let's face it, TNA probably isn't going to put on any 30 minute mat wrestling classics anytime soon, but the 2 hour show was very well done. Well, not on free TV anyway, I remember enjoying AJ vs Daniels, and I think Angle/Joe's best temporary blowoff will be an ironman
CubbyBr 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2006 There are times when matches are allowed to go a good length but they never do that for angles. The angles are always really short and feel really rushed before they cut away to the next thing.
dubq 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2006 That's a terrible name for a group. It's also hard to spell. Can't wait to see gothy looking kids holding up signs saying "Saratonen Rulz!" and such at Impact tapings! Judging from the videos of their "look" and facepaint, I'd say they look more like a bunch of idiot ravers than anything else. Same shit. Different pile. TNApics.com has some photos of the group in their PPV section. I never through it'd be possible for Matt Bentley to look more like a douche, but the bleached hair, white pants and goofy face paint really does the job. I guess this is a way for Johnny Devine to show off his knifing incidient scars, though. I'd heard that TNA wanted him to wear the singlet upon his return because the scars weren't good for TV, lol. Was there ever any explanation as to why he suddenly stopped being a part of the Paparazzi and became a part of this group?
Blade2kxx 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 Was there ever any explanation as to why he suddenly stopped being a part of the Paparazzi and became a part of this group? Yes... Nash got Shelley to fire Devine for allegedly refusing to edit German snuff films for Nash. Completely distastful on Devine's part.
