Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted June 10, 2002 WWE fans were shocked by the improbable return of Shawn Michaels last Monday night on RAW. Fans were even more shocked to see Michaels wearing the colors of the nWo. WWE.com has received word that Michaels will address the world this coming Monday on RAW. Why did he come back? Why did he join the nWo? What does his future hold? Perhaps Michaels will address these issues and more tonight when RAW kicks off live on TNN from Atlanta! Last week, Stone Cold Steve Austin won the right to have RAW owner Ric Flair become his personal assistant. Will the Rattlesnake assert his authority this Monday? What tasks will he have in store for his new personal assistant? Tune in and find out! Also, King of the Ring qualifying matches will continue this evening. Check back this afternoon for announced matches for tonight's broadcast! You can't miss RAW, tonight at 9/8 CT on TNN, live from the Phillips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia! I've always wanted to start one of these things. So, here you go!
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted June 10, 2002 You would think they announce who would be in the KOTR tourney, but oh well

Guest RicFlairGlory Report post Posted June 10, 2002 **Runs into the ring, Spins around, tries not to get burned by the fireworks** Finally, HBK in a non-commissioner role. I've been waiting since I couldnt get tickets to WM14 for this...
Guest Big Poppa Popick Report post Posted June 10, 2002 im watching raw i live in atlanta raw is in atlanta again, im watching raw first show in atl ive missed since 97 that should tell you something
Guest Report post Posted June 10, 2002 Hell, I'd still go. I don't care how crappy the product is, I still love to see it live. I expect the first quarter hour rating to be 5.0, no lie. Dependent on how that opening segment goes will set the rating for a while though. It could turn a LOT of casual fans off(the few that are left), and hardcore HBK marks(and there's a lot more than a few of those) that they screwed this up too. Tonight is VERY important. Just pray(ironically) that HBK doesn't start on about God and stuff.
Guest Report post Posted June 10, 2002 RVD vs Eddy Guerrero and Brock Lesnar vs Bubba Ray Dudley have been announced for tonight. They are King Of The Ring qualifying matches.
Guest Big Poppa Popick Report post Posted June 10, 2002 anyone get the feeling we'll hear the words..."This couldve been on the PPV folks! but no, we're giving it away for free!
Guest Report post Posted June 10, 2002 Maybe we'll see a RVD/Michaels HIAC match. Wouldn't you love to miss that! (But you won't, because tonight we'll probably only get a nWo-involved main event)
Guest Big Poppa Popick Report post Posted June 10, 2002 i sincerely doubt im missing a whole hell of alot i sincerely doubt that theyll top the aborted ecw invasion at the last raw here *my gawd, what a difference a year makes, that was a MOMENT people! If but for one precious hour, THE ENTIRE ARENA was marking out." Why, can't they figure it out....sigh
Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted June 10, 2002 I may be one of the few that thinks so, but Raw has been fairly entertaining lately. The stupid Dreamer segments can go..(as can Tommy himself. Good-bye, thanks for playing.). I'm enjoying it more now than I was during the Austin-fest last year. 24/7 Austin did nothing for me. At least Eddy, RVD, Booker, and even Benoit are getting some TV time. -Shiro
Guest Report post Posted June 10, 2002 Hmm, hard to tell who's going to win that Eddy v. RVD match. Is either being considered heavily for KOTR? Of course, an RVD win would make for an RVD v. Brock next round, which is even harder to figure out the winner of, since Brock is actually being considered for KOTR.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted June 10, 2002 Well..knowing WWF logic.. Eddy will be about to win, but he gets Stunnered by our favorite anti-authority boy, Austin. RVD should be advancing. -Shiro
Guest Whatmaniac Report post Posted June 10, 2002 anyone get the feeling we'll hear the words..."This couldve been on the PPV folks! but no, we're giving it away for free! They have already shown the first match on PPV twice and the second match is not really PPV material. But yeah those idiots at the Prowrestlingtorch will complain endlessly about how the WWF is giving away good matches for free. Can someone please explain the reasoning behind that criticism? How exactly is it a bad thing if we, the fans get to see big matches for free instead of being forced to shell out 30-40 dollars to see it on PPV? It simply does not sound like something that people should complain about.
Guest Report post Posted June 10, 2002 Over in the WCW Revival thread, an interesting possibility has been considered. WCW Return in Atlanta? Betcha you'd feel silly not going then! It'll never happen(at least not tonight), but it's still fun to think of.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted June 10, 2002 RVD will win tonight (when Austin costs Eddy the win). Brock will win too. I see Brock beating RVD at some point of the tourney (either next week or on ppv) to give him a nontitle win over VAn Dam. That way RVD can win the rematch and not have to drop the belt. All in all...I don't hate that decision.
Guest Report post Posted June 10, 2002 Why is everyone assuming RVD and Brock will face each other in the KOTR? We could get RVD/Booker and X-pac/Brock and then Booker/Brock. Save the big things like RVD/Brock and nWo vs. nWo for Summerslam. On a side note, I'm predicting King Booker, now can you dig that, SUCKAAAAAAAAAA!
Guest Big Poppa Popick Report post Posted June 10, 2002 okay if they did a wcw revival id actually piss green

Plus it allows Brock to look good without hotshotting the title again and again.

Guest Ash Ketchum Report post Posted June 11, 2002 Being a former WCW fan... I'd have a seizure or some shit like that probably. And yeah, I'm picking Raw to watch at 9 instead of other things, but the second it gets shitty.... BAM! Red Wings game is on in my house.

Plus it allows Brock to look good without hotshotting the title again and again. They can just do a non-title match between them any week and have Brock win clean, tehn have RVD pin him at Summerslam for his first loss. No hotshotting involved and both guys come out looking better because they got clean pins on each other.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted June 11, 2002 but a non title match makes no sense at all. the KOTR is right there for them to use. Why in the world would they have a non title singles match?
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted June 11, 2002 Jesh guys, I really have a weird feeling about this WCW situation. How convient that they make a mistake of advertising a RAW brand house show "WCW." How convient Raw is in Atlanta tonight. I bet Flair has more in that contract that we don't know about. I can imagine Austin's eyes tonight if Flair reads this: "If Steve Austin wins....WCW is reborn!" *gets goosebumps*
Guest Report post Posted June 11, 2002 Just have Heyman continually going up to RVD and asking him to side with him and Brock. Have RVD always refuse, saying he doesn't need Heyman. Then Heyman can say: "just face Brock tonight in a match. I'll even make it non title. I just want to show you what my leadership and guidance can do." Then have Brock beat RVD clean. Heyman will then say "since you won't join me, I'll have to take your prized possession" and make the match with Brock/RVD for the IC title. Not only does this provide a reasonable storyline for their feud, but it gives a reason (if the wwe wants to do it) for Brock to leave Heyman because his guidance didn't work. Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted June 11, 2002 Why are you so opposed to having them not meet in the KOTR? A win over RVD in the touney is certainly bigger than some thrown together non title match.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted June 11, 2002 Holy SHIT. I forgot about that too! This is almost getting scary thinking about how this could go down
Guest Report post Posted June 11, 2002 I dunno...I guess I just want their first meeting to be more important than the quarterfinals of a shoddily booked tournament.
