Guest Army Eye Report post Posted June 11, 2002 well, im pretty sure that nobody outside of a minority of the smark community cares about wcw. anyway, the taste which lingers in the mouth is the aftertaste, and the aftertaste left by wcw was pretty damn shitty. Couple of things: There are millions of people who were watching WCW that never made the switch over to WWF. Made they're gone for good, I don't know, but I think there's a lot of people that would come back to WCW if it was a TRUE WCW revival and not a WWF Mini Me (which I admit would almost surely not happen) And yes I am aware of the damage done to the WCW name, both by themselves and then even more so by the Invasion angle. Don't get me wrong, if the WWE could make WCW a profitable venture at this point, I'd be shocked. But a WWF vs. WCW interpromotional feud, even with the tarnished WCW brand, would have a hell of a lot more potential than the current watered down 'brand extension' that they're doing, which is having virtually zero impact on the product. Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted June 11, 2002 Steve Austin left the Raw taping in Atlanta earlier today and will not be on tonight's show. From what I have heard, without talking to anyone in management, he booked a ticket home for himself and Debra and left Atlanta today. Originally, he was scheduled to face Brock Lesnar on tonight's show. I am not sure what the finish was supposed to be, but from where I stand, it was too early to do that match no matter whoever they planned to put over. The whole show had to be rewritten and Lesnar will now wrestle Bubba Ray Dudley. From what I heard, no one (read Vince McMahon or Raw coordinator Brian Gerwertz) communicated with Austin as to what he was going to do on Raw tonight until Jim Ross called him yesterday. Austin then chose to walk out and go home today. It's been no secret that Austin has been less than happy with the WWE's direction lately. We will post more information on this story when we get it. ----------------- Holy SHIT.

Guest Report post Posted June 11, 2002 Jesh guys, I really have a weird feeling about this WCW situation. How convient that they make a mistake of advertising a RAW brand house show "WCW." How convient Raw is in Atlanta tonight. I bet Flair has more in that contract that we don't know about. I can imagine Austin's eyes tonight if Flair reads this: "If Steve Austin wins....WCW is reborn!" *gets goosebumps* And isn't it a little odd that Vince is offering former WCW star Flair 100% of control of the company? I smell a turnaround. Instead of last years invasion by WCW and ECW, it might be the other way around...
